I’ve been sewing for years and I’m amazed at what a good job you did. I bet you felt like a million bucks when you took that bag on vacation. Personally, I freaking hate rivets, they always ‘bend’ on me but I’m too cheap to buy a rivet press 🤷‍♀️. I watch all the KZbin bag making ladies just zippity do dah through these patterns like it’s nothing; your video here was very refreshing and I thank you 😊

You're bag turned out so great! The video was super entertaining. It might help to loosen your tension when sewing through so many layers. I'm no expert either, but that helps me.

You're very right -- the inside doesn't matter! I hate stitching in the ditch to catch bodice linings because it never comes out 100% the first time and is such a pain, so I felt this. This was a really complicated pattern, so you should be so proud of yourself! Very impressive!

Ok, I just need to fangirl for a minute. The second you said "Listen, you know me by now..." I realized I totally did. Ive really been enjoying your content and I KEEP coming back to your videos BECAUSE you keep it real 😂 Your share as many of your failures and complications as you do your successes. It honestly helps to normalize that knitting isnt always this idyllic dream of sitting in a bookshop and never dropping a stitch, it is as much a challenging hobby as anything else. And sewing! Alas, I too looked at your pattern pieces and thought, "How hard could this really be?" But the truth is, the sewing is easy. All of the brain work goes into processing the pattern instructions itself. I vote to rename sewing as "Fiber Engineering" bc legit thats what it is. Anyway, thank you for talking about your projects, but mostly thankyou for letting your personality shine through. You make me look forward to the slog of my own projects, because in the end, thats what brings us all together lol

If you have that many layers of fabric & interfacing sometimes you need to loosen the thread tension

The needle for the thicker material use a Jean or topstitch needle. I google everything!
