There are airplanes with parachutes, but only one manufacturer has implemented it. So if you fly on smaller planes, choose the Cirrus branded plane as it has the parachute. The company does make retrofit parachute kits for 350 other small planes, but not the big ones, yet! Where, when, or if this tech makes it's way to commercial jets is anyone's guess. I swear I heard about this 20 odd years ago, but the first certified plane to have one came out in 2016. The expense in design, and testing of a parachute for commercial jets would be very high so I don't expect it anytime soon. 👍😎✌🗽

planes are made from aluminium as it is a lighter alloy metal also Boeing and other plane manufacturers are military made that why one reason you pay high taxes and pay for the accidents they make.

Wrong! At that time it had more than enough to follow the rules, think was on ship size or weight then, also they didn't manage to use all as how fast it sink, these days they aim more for how many passengers on board

@@mlee6050 I'm not talking about rules, I'm talking about lives,,,,,, Of course I wasn't there,, But you can look it up and read about it, They Only had Half, The life Boats They needed, Is what I read,,,,, And they had Enough, time, They used everyone they had, I thought it was very stupid,, That would be like an airplane, Putting half, As many oxygen ,masks As needed,,,, I'll say it again,, That is just what I read about,it, At the library,,,,,,

@@tomcarpenter700 I know, I believe it why the rules of how many, as of weight it only needed 16 lifeboats but had 20 that was enough for nearly a thousand, what I just read glad they not got rules of today back then, you only need enough lifeboats today to save 37.5% of the passengers Lifeboats at max then was 1178 people for the 20 lifeboats Lifeboats required today only have to hold 840 people I like to think from each disaster they change the rules/regulations to reduce loss that happens every time (I watch a lot of air crash investigation as I love seeing how they make it all safer)
