Screw Covington. I have been a fan for years. He was my favorite fighter. But he is absolutely DUCKING Ian Garry. The dude has flamed out in THREE championship opportunities. He didn't even show up against Leon. I loved his Chaos character, but at some point you have to back it up with performance. Colby is terrified of Garry, which is why he put such stupid stipulations on the match. Time for the division to move on.

Max Holloway is beyond on clank the clearest #1 contender. They literally had to stop giving other contenders to him first, so that they could get someone to a fight with Volk. Colby has zero wins over ranked opponents, and he hasn't for a while. Max has wins over 4 ranked FWs, including #3 and #4, as well as the #2 and #3 ranked LWs, and the recently back in the top 10 at BW Aldo, and he's held that position for four and a half years

Colby being the clearest number 1 contender..? Not getting title fights..? 3 out his last 5 fights have been title fights, and that is five fights over close to five years. He's had more title fights than he has "earned". Every high profile fighter he has beaten, he beat when they were "past their prime", the T.Wood win did really not age well considering that Woodley went on a massive losing skid that ended with him being KOd by a Disney KZbinr. He does not have a single win over a guy that has been top ten over the last three years, and I think Masvidal was currently ranked ten when Colby beat him in a snoozefest of a fight, if you can call holding someone down for five rounds and not making them quit beating them. Nothing about that performance had BMF written over it. Jorge was not even bruised at the end...
