I HATE Air Battles...So This Is How I Grind Planes!

I kinda regret not researching planes alongside tanks, but I started doing the US aviation tech tree recently. I found I have the most fun I air arcade actually, and it helps grind a bit faster cuz the games are quicker

@@OrcaStrike02 Everything is more meaningful and adrenalin pumping, surviving a dogfight, surviving against multiple opponents, each kill you earn. Let alone the flight model is different and if you are into aircrafts it is night and day how it feels flying in RB compared to arcade. It`s like how some people prefer Need for Speed or Forza Horizon over SimRacing. Or Counter-Strike over Call of Duty. Different ways to look at a game, it has upsides and downsides whatever style of game you prefer in the end.

I grinded aircraft in arcade until 8.3, grinded rank 6 sweden in rb tho, it sucks so bad. I'm researching the mig-21 rn, but i don't feel motivated enough to play rank 6

A little tip for evading SPAA. You need to remember that WWII SPAA tracks using vertical and horizontal gearing. They will have momentum following you and you need to throw that off. You need to cut down your turns from their viewpoint by turning up/down or inside yourself, so that the arc they’re looking at suddenly changes shape, and they miss. It’ll take some time for them to start tracking you again.

Trust me, getting a good strike aircraft will make Air RB much more playable until you get jets. Being able to airspawn, and reach the battlefield before your team barely leaves the airfield makes it much less annoying/boring to play.

what i hate about airbattles is you fly 4 hours straight into enemies just then to die to 4 planes following you. grinding kills in air rb takes ages to unlock vehicles. also what i find insanely infuriating is that when i use planes they do no dmg even tho im using the right ammo types and try to hit critical parts or pilot... OH BUT WHEN SOMEONE SHOOTS AT ME IT TAKES .2 SECONDS TO SHOOT ME DOWN OFC.

Play arcade air you don't have to fly 4 hours just to get destroyed (you instead have to fly about 2 mins)

Been playing since 2015 and 92% of my planes in all Nations (4 Main Nations) have been unlocked from playing ground RB… hell of a grind 😂

Yes, finally the B239. Just remember that you can literally pen any tank at its BR, top-down. Don't just look for open tops; German tanks are the easiest to kill; the rest are harder.

Don’t think so. But they def need to balance it better in Ground RB. Like more Points to enter with a plane. Runways could be implemented in lower BRs as part of the ground map, so you could capture and overrun it with tanks. For higher BRs it should be more far away from the battlefield - especially in higher BRs the guided rockets have a longer rage than the AA itself 🥲 Bigger Maps, more hiding spots from CAS and so on… Many ways and ideas but Gaijin decides its more important to release new long range missiles and fighters 😂

If you want try air arcade its WAY faster, realistic is just climbing 20 minutes to die after a simple fight, also you can respawn and can dogfight easier as the planes have extreme maneuverability

As a person who is missing 2 planes in the swedish tree your method is valid but you should learn dogfighting to absolutely sealclub GRB cas (i waht Defyn alot and it has taught me alot)

Play Air arcade. Really quick grind and also teaches how to lead with lead indicator. It's kinda fun. Much better than realistic, but sim is still the best Edit: using planes in GRB gives way too little XP. You can bomb 3 tanks and get like 700xp

You often say that you're bad at planes, but honestly I think you're still above average. These scissors at 7:52 are actually pretty nice. One tip that I can give is that you should try to keep an eye on your target at all times, and maneuver with just your keyboard. It takes A LOT of practise, I died countless times trying to learn, but eventually you'll get there.

10:15 that was lucky finding that weakspot without knowing about it, but yes you can reliably one shot SU-122 with the 40mm SAP if you hit them there :) also, B-239 is so so good, it's very solidly my favorite plane in the game. it flies amazingly and the firepower is insane for 2.7, just don't get hit cause you can't take any shots at all with it xD btw, the .50 cal AP is more then enough to pen practically every tanks roof armor at it's br, with some practice you can even get T-34's with it quite well, only shermans are a bit more though but you can still take their engine hehehe

I’ve spaced the majority of my planes in Ground RB. Some were pain, but mostly it was good fun. I spaced my Westland Whirlwind in GRB and it was a proper hoot.

This proves that there is truth to that saying " you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink". You even know that grinding planes in Ground RB will take MUCH longer for less reward than spading and grinding planes in Air RB, but you do it anyway.

I also dislike air batlles, tried them at the beginning and just gave up. So now may air techtrees are way behind my ground techtrees, for example in the german techtree I've everything except the two latest AA and not a single plane above 6.7 (except the squadron Fighter I never use). I rarely spawn in a plane, have more fun in ground vehicles.

the reason you dont like ARB is simply because youre not that good at it. ARB requires tactical planning and thinking as well as knowledge about you plane and the enemys. In GRB theres gonna be mostly bombers and strike aircraft that are easy prey even for your mediocre flight. Dont get me wrong playing planes in GRB can be fun but its objectively awful for grinding. even using a premium account you only got mediocre RP for that match. You can play an ARB match and die with one kill and still get way more RP for that

It's shit. EC Air Sim is far more enjoyable and amenable to my personality. I've got like a thousand hours in there, and frequently go 8 to 1. Meanwhile I cant fucking stand ARB.

And it's not exactly common, but you do meet some other excellent flyers out in GRB. Some of the best dogfights I've ever had have been in GRB. If they did away with enemy markers, I would be WAY more likely to pick up ARB. I'd sooner play air sim than ARB, simply for the lack of markers.

Whatever this guy said 6 hours ahead of me and also because the gamemode got modified to shit, it’s repetitive, no skill based match making so you’re either fighting Jimothy whose been playing for the past 5 minutes or Xx_Literal-God_xX whose been playing World of **vehicles** and the game back in 20-fucking-15. Also bombers are straight up wrongly balanced.

It made me look into your profile to check myself. of all your top 3 most played planes in ARB all of them had well below 50% winrate which strenghtens my point. your realistic battles also consist of only about 10% air battles so youre obviously quite unexperienced in that regard. My point still stands. ARB has some flaws but ive played enough of it to know that "its boring" is no valid argument. Its boring if you dont know what youre doing.
