Coupla three things: great reaction, as always. Tony lettered in footbal, so he did have the makings of a varsity athlete. And Tony's a boss, not a captain. Also, happy to hear you watched Goodfellas! Love all your reactions, can't wait to watch that one.

AJ blames Carmella for the separation. He lost out on Whitecaps because she kicked Tony out, in his eyes. He's dealing with the situation the way his father would, directing all his shitty behavior toward the person he feels deserves it so he can be nice to the rest of the world. It's roots lie in Livia's family dynamic, 'Dog eat Dog'.

There was a little foreshadowing with Feech. Earlier, one of the jokes he told about Tony Blundetto was about “the last time his parole officer showed up unexpected“ and that’s exactly what led to Feech’s demise.

There actually was a boss, allegedly, who walked around in his bathrobe and acted like he was mentally ill. He was nicknamed "The Oddfather" by the media. In 2003, Vincent "The Chin" Gigante apparently admitted that his insanity was all just a ploy to avoid prosecution.

It's not the last time that Rudy Giuliani was fooled, but definitely the first time that he was fooled. LOL!!! He, "The Chin," and his doctors and lawyers also convinced a court in 1990 that he was too mentally impaired to stand trial.

Junior was portrayed as having dementia rather well. I used to do security in hospitals and nursing homes and such, with lots of time in dementia wards and quite a few of the residents were like him. Though frankly the reality of it is alot less dignified, its not something i'd wish on my worst enemy tbh. The wandering thing especially though, some of them would just wander up and down the same hallway for 12 straight hours to the point they would literally collapse, and that was by no means the worst of it. The worst part though is nobody who worked at any of those places gave a damn. If there is one thing I learned from the experience its that if you have family members in a nursing home - especially if they're particularly vulnerable with something like dementia, its important to show up at random times without notifying them ahead of time to visit, in case anything sketchy or negligent is going on. If they get evasive about letting you do it its a massive red flag. People would be shocked at what really goes on in those sorts of places

Another fun reaction. And I agree, by far at the top of my favorite shows, I watch the entire series all the way through once or twice a year and episodes here and there. Getting closer to the end is a little bitter sweet. You definitely need to watch the prequel movie once you finish the final episode (It really sheds light on a number of events from the show. Also, James Gandolfini’s son plays a younger Tony.) Hope all is well with the family situation. Keep up the great work. - Matthew
@yourlifeisagreatstory2 ай бұрын
And you’re spot on about teenagers, they’re evil haha. But, I think we kinda see a lot of AJ’s feelings in this episode; he’s upset about his parents being separated and blames Carm. We see him happy once he actually had some basic interaction with Tony. I think we also get to see a bit of self reflection on the part of Carm and Tony; they both are around other people but both experience a moment when they actually realize how alone they are.
@charlescallen4602 ай бұрын
Another excellent job. You're really getting towards the end. Obviously there can never be any more regular Sopranos because who could ever replace Gandolfini? 🤔

When the writers put so much focus on an odd line it means they’re trying hard to tell you it’s a very important line. “He never had the makings of a variety athlete” is one of those important & reoccurring odd lines. Tony 1st said it in the pilot episode in his 1st scene with Livia (when Tony bought Livia a CD player for a broken record).

Janice is actually changed by her relationship with Bobby. Even before they marry, she--like all the other women--are incredibly moved by his love for and faithfulness TO Karen, and she (Janice) very definitely calms down most, if not all, the crazy shenanigans her brother continues getting up to the very end. What we are fine with in Tony we can't stand in his sister who's from the exact same tree and demonstrates all the same behaviors, but I definitely think there's an early and a late Janice, the latter almost entirely consumed with motherhood and being a supportive wife (often TOO supportive) wife. No, she doesn't ever become "good," but there are no "good" characters in the show apart from the children too young or too innocent to be a part of the mob life. The rest are all sociopaths and/or psychopaths, with no exceptions. Even Adriana is one heroin addict enabling another who also happens to be a murder and one of the aforementioned sociopaths. No, I think Janice undergoes real change by series end and we can already start seeing it here. Love your reaction vidz, btw. They actually are the best Sopranos reactions I've seen and I intend seeing more (I've seen your Godfather already). Nice work--thanks! 🍾
