I am laughably new to studying Hiragana, so sorry if this is bothersome to explain, but does it often happen (perhaps in proper nouns only) that ろう would wind up as "ro" rather than "rou" in English? Also, what a coincidence that there were two Ryus in this Endless run. is it a common element in names in Japanese?

@@TheHadMatters It does happen quite a lot with names, for example the name 一郎 (いちろう) is often written as "Ichiro" in English, but (as far as I know) "Ichirou", "Ichirō", and "Ichiroh" are also used. As far as I know, none of the three is more correct than the others (though IMO "Ichirō" is the best). I can't type the "ō" character on my keyboard and I didn't feel like googling it, and out of the other options, I simply thought that "Ichiro" looked the nicest. Ryu (and/or Ryuu) isn't super uncommon as far as I can tell. It's not the most common element in names, but it does show up from time to time.

I'm always surprised that somehow magically the creator of levels happens to know when a big time streamer plays their levels -- is this because level creators monitors who plays their levels in SMM2? This aside, fun level! Its like platforming without the platforms! Or rather get as close to dying without dying...

I sort of want my levels to be near the Expert level but I'm no veteran and don't want to wind-up and have people pulling hairs out though! Barely above rookie-level myself in 2D games lol.

Every time I see Meowser, or some of the other bosses I always think about how bullshit they are. Like, 95 percent of the time they're just mindless lame bosses. But that other 5 percent they can do moves that cause them to spawn/teleport directly inside of you, with next to no warning at all. Anyway, cool to see this series back so soon. But remember, if you're tired of it you should really just take a break, because I'll watch pretty much anything you post.

A boss in a level is an almost immediate dislike from me. The rest of the level has to be good for it to be forgivable, but most levels with a boss are not good, so.

It suits Nintendo to make them like that. Nintendo isn't about consistent, competitive challenges. It's about keeping you on your feet and creating situations where you either barely make it out, or randomly get shut down and have to try again. It suits them, because randomness creates challenges that children can struggle with, but rarely completely get stuck at, keeping them entertained rather than frustrated, which is necessary when you make games for kids below a certain age. The challenge for older players becomes then to play consistently despite the randomness - something people like Ryu excel in. That's why they work for the main series games. And in the Mario Maker games, they do make things very messy, but again, especially when children create levels, that's exactly what they are looking for. A few clicks to create a wild ride of excitement.

Like Ryu said it Perfectly: how come Clear conditions with Hidden blocks are allowed? I think it's because if the level has no coins and no visible ? blocks than the invisible ones would be the substitute for both if your lucky that the creator didn't add the clear condition just to troll the level's players, which wouldn't make sense because that would prevent the level from even being clear able because of a trollish, unnecessary clear condition that couldn't be met since it wasn't technically supposed to in the level, which isn't the case with the one you just cleared
