It's a funny enough show, but if you've ever been in a band, played guitar, or been part of the the metal scene, it's sublime. These little jokes are so worth it.

At those speeds you don't read notes, you feel them and have muscle memory on the scales used places. Example: Sweep Picking is playing a scale across the fret board in a single smooth down (or upward) strum, Its not like he exactly knows what hes playing its just his ear is tuned to it after hearing it getting to know it for so long xD

@yummybush556710 жыл бұрын
Because Pickles is BRILLIANT! He also speaks French, there isn't much that Pickles can't do, and mostly he does it drunk! Luvs my bad assed drummer!
@doomfan1234510 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, but yes he is brilliant, but he shouldn't be able to read Finnish.
@yummybush556710 жыл бұрын
Why not? if he can pick up French, why wouldn't he be able to pick up Finnish? especially being around Toki so much?
@doomfan1234510 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying he can't.
@yummybush556710 жыл бұрын
but your last post said "he shouldn't be able to read Finnish" Which implies that he wouldn't be able to learn Finnish. Seeing as how he spends most of his everyday life with Toki, it is absolutely plausible that he would either at least pick up Finnish from Toki, or from travelling on tours. Pickles is a very intelligent person, probably exceptionally intelligent given the amount of time he spends drunk and is still very talented and versatile in the studio.

I do agree with music is feeling, and I myself can only read to a certain point (reading and playing.. HA). But the best thing about sheet music is that it has preserved pieces from masters for hundreds of years. None will ever top the God man known as Bach.

Damn... I don't understand these kinds of musicians. They often acknowledge the value of being able to read notes, but they do as if it's some kind of challenge that they don't want to tackle. Although it's simplest thing there is to music. It's hard as fuck (maybe neurologically impossible or at least brilliant-level tough) to learn to play music by sound or feeling.
@amberlyelizabeth5 жыл бұрын
Not for me. Its easier to play by feeling and ear than reading sheet music while trying to play at same time
