I have a Disneyland ride!!!

Is this really happening?! Am I dreaming?! I attended the Avengers Campus opening at Disneyland Paris and had the honor and privilege to ride the Flight Force roller coaster that is based on my character, CAPTAIN MARVEL. I repeat, I HAVE A ROLLER COASTER AT DISNEYLAND!! I have to remind myself often, because I just can’t believe it. I feel so honored to be living out my childhood dreams. Thank you so much to Disney for letting my friends and family come along for the experience. I hope you all get the chance to visit the campus, it is absolutely incredible! You are truly the perfect person to play Captain Marvel. I was never into comic books when I was a kid (other than perhaps when I was 5yrs old). But the MCU brought out the kid in me as I was in my 30’s. RDJ as Iron Man, Tom H. as Spidey, Scarlett J. as Black Widow, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor were outstanding. But when they brought you along to play Captain Marvel, it was the character that brought it all together. Above all, as a a dad to two beautiful, smart, and courageous daughters, it made me happy & proud that the MCU brought out strong women in powerful roles who not only would entertain, but they could also look to with pride and inspiration.

It takes a very long time to make all these movies and shows and unfortunately a lot of the actors will age out of their roles. It happens in the comics industry every decade or so.

​@egg Ask Disney. It took 10 years and 18 films in before we got the 1st female lead film. Out of 40 plus titles done and in preproduction. Only 7 have female leads. 3 with people of color. Disney just has a bad record when it comes to that. And when they do, they have to battle the negative feedback from a small but loud and toxic group. Even the Black Widow movie was called "woke." It's the current state of world we are in with it's culture wars.
