I had cataracts on both eyes about 20 years ago and had them done one at a time. You will be amazed Suzi at the difference it will make. I was so surprised how bright colours were and how far I could see. Recovery time was very short and after I'd had one done I couldn't wait to have the other sorted out.

Had my cataracts done this year, omg, it's a whole new world. No more contact lenses and no more glasses. I was lucky the consultant agreed to one eye for distance one for reading which is what I did with contacts. So nice to wake up and see !! I worked out that having worn lenses since I was 17, now 67 I have spent approx £17.5k on contacts 😮 I was never suitable for laser surgery but fortunately cataract surgery is different. Good luck with your surgery, I am sure it will be amazing.

What a beautiful place to get away from the hustle bustle. We have vineyards in West Sussex too apparently it’s the chalk,flint in the downs that’s similar to some French regions. My go to question for decluttering is "What is the worst that could happen if I don't have this item?" I am celebrating that I have decluttered my bedding, sleeping mat, clothes and books to fit in four 13" x 15" x 28" rectangular zippered bags (tasteful (and waterproof) black). I love living on the floor (I have been a 'floorist' for 25 years).

Suzi, I had both cataracts done last year. You're OK to watch tv etc more or less straight away, just keep the eye drops going and cover the eye at night. Absolutely no pain and recovery straight away. You'll be amazed at the improvement in your sight. Before you say anything about age, my 88 year old mother in law had both hers done earlier this year!
