Mate Dave is beautiful I’m so glad you added sand. Rays must have sand It’s their Bolt hole I love this tank it’s the exact size I plan to buy in the next couple of months once I’m established with my new move from London to Norfolk although after the uproar and nasty treatment dished out to the last poor guy I’m not sure that it may be overstocked already so adding the second Ray could create a lot of aggro your life won’t be worth living Mick 😂😂😂Cheers mate

I use the same sand in my MBU tank.. it’s not cheap by any means but it’s a fantastic large grain sand that doesn’t blow around much. A heads up for you wash this type of sand in a large plastic tote and use a Sieve to remove the sand to your tank and you get near zero cloudy water at all..

Mick also pal just a quikie ,, get a USB airator, sell them on amazon!!! You should tape it to a tub , just means the fish have always got oxygen from the time they are netted to when they get home 🤟🤟

If I ever go wharf or something wich is a hour and half from me , I always take a strong tub and a airator , just means that all I need to do is focus on the heat of the car rather then stressing about oxygen levels ,, as you could even go as far as chucking in a nice sponge filter 🤟🤟 as I know you do some hefty distances some times lad 😏

Beautiful ray, I'm hoping to get my first ray around the end of June start or July once I get home from holiday, I'm too scared to leave him for 14 days! Going to be keeping 1 male black diamond, 1 male mini marble motoro and 3 mono peacock bass, although this could all change it is the current plan! I knew you would get a Ray eventually. Rays will eat your clown loaches if they are small enough. Basically if they can swallow it they will do.

What a cutie! How big's the tank? It sounds from your other comments that you're keeping an eye on it but do be aware that plecos are most active at night so you might not spot any munching that's happening until it's too late. You know what you're doing but just wanted to mention it just in case!

Smallest species are potamotrygon laticeps and potamotrygon scobina, Also potamotrygon wallacei and reticulate stay relatively small

Be careful with your bottom feeders the stingray could eat them , also your Pleco might stick onto its slime coat and kill it .

Yeah I’ve also heard about plecos removing the slime coat off of rays and they eventually die… not worth risking it

@@MicksFishUk thats great Mick I'm so happy for you brother they are such cool fish my local pet store had three males the other day an albino a brown looking one and a black diamond they were just so neat just so gracefully swimming and coming up to the side of the ben they were in that they use for koi goldfish as ponds I actually set up another tank this weekend another planet tank for my fancy tail guppies and corydoras they are such interactive little catfish especially the albino but congratulations on the new fish
