I love that you garden with your children and you do it in such a peaceful manner that the children love being with you❣️ I also love that you teach them as you go and not just by doing but letting them try also!! It was wonderful when I heard you say that your child was far more important than any plant that might get killed accidentally!!😊♥️😊♥️😊♥️😊♥️😊♥️ How incredible that statement was and how good that made the child feel and he will reflect on that for years to come. Another thing you did, Bri, Was to teach all the children about watering at the same time instead of shaming to one little boy for what he did wrong. Again your statement was that you would never humiliate him in front of the others or make him feel bad because his self-worth was more important than correcting him in front of the other children!!!! What a wonderful mother you are❣️❣️ In terms of the cardboard blowing away and weighting it down, Some thing I did was she put dirt on it, not necessarily completely over the entire amount of cardboard but just enough at the end inside and even the middle, if it was a big piece, So that it could not Blow away… you might have to replace some of the dirt mid summer but that would depend on how much wind and rain you had. I noticed that some of your cardboard was very shiny on one side so it was very good that you put that side up otherwise it would make a barrier for moisture to get through. Also, you can use newspaper instead of cardboard and it does not harm the plants. I used newspaper a lot in my Garden when I did not Have access to cardboard. Just another idea for keeping barriers between plants.

You give them all the gift of LOVE and it shows! It was so special to see the twins while singing your Praise song - and how she was swaying and full of joy and he was checking her out... and you could tell that he was learning from her. They are amazing ~ the twins ~ and ALL the children! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! in the Name of Jesus Christ!

A beautiful young lady being celebrated for her diligence and hard work, and a lovely garden plan that will enrich everybody….some who don’t even know it yet!!😉 you are so like my daughter Pam. She also homeschooled her children and oh what wonderful times they had! Both are college educated,wonderful young men. When we would go to the homeschooling group gatherings, it was pure joy to see such a group of children so kind to each other and well mannered. If ours were little today, they SURE wouldn’t be in public school!! I applaud all of you moms and dads that take this route.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💖🤗👍👍

That's what I call parental sensitivity. You didn't blame but you taught the lesson obliquely, then followed up with a nonjudgemental reinforcement. That's a special skill. I didn't always have it when my own kids were small. Fortunately, I sometimes did. I think I'd be a better parent now and that learning experience is probably why my grandmother was a delight for me but was harder on her own girls. Mothering is a skill that needs experience to master, like anything else.

I sometimes teach classes for homeschool co op and I always say we do t make mistakes…we only make correctable solutions!! The kids love that!! They feel like it’s ok to don’t do everything right the first time. They’re all learning experiences!! Love the way you felt with the watering situation!!❤❤❤

When a plant dies in the weed fabric, I plant some flower or herb seeds in that hole. It helps with the pollination and pests. Your an inspiration. Keep up the good work. I also plant (selective weeds) In the weed fabric. Ex. In your tomato holes I also plant basil marigolds or allysum seeds. Once the plant gets big your going to get weeds in the hole. If you plant your selective weeds it will keep your ground covered with stuff you want.

A tip that I learned about direct sowing carrots or any tiny seeds is to add the seeds to some sand, then broadcast. You will see where they are landing and how thick. You won't have to thin as much.
@lindal5303 Жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. I thicken water with cornstarch, the next day I add my carrot seeds, then pipe them into their rows. It works for me with little to no thinning🥀

Such a good momma!! I worry when the world breaks his/her heart!! But be strong and courageous in the Lord. I always teach mine at the appropriate age, that at home we make mistakes and do not condemn. In the world it can be different. I preach Psalms 23 to my kids. "He prepareth a table before me in the presence of mine enemy." and to "Be patient and wait on the Lord!" I have used these scriptures so many times when feeling humiliated or misunderstood. God always reveals my intentions. I just love, love, love, and God handles the rest..

Also - you're doing a great job editing your videos. You're a quick learner! Also - I don't know if this would work, but maybe those tiny clips that are used in sewing could do a good job holding your netting onto your garden hoops. They're like chip clips, but they're REALLY small (used instead of straight pins while sewing), and you buy them in bags of about 20.

Then my two oldest will both be in high school. It is craziness, but wonderful. Sidewalk chalk is so much fun for all time. It is good that you didn't embarrass your child about the plant issue when they were doing their best to help, and instead used it as a way to learn and grow for the future.
