FISA is one of the few aspects of the PATRIOT Act that was done right. Without FISA, our ability to combat terrorists internationally and domestically is greatly weakened. Notice the reps against it all have ties to Russia or some foreign country?

I work in public safety tech. I'll tell you this now. I would expect any competent war fighter to understand the need for defined conditions for success in a battle space. In the case of our nations safety and security the battle is no different. If the sentinels charged with the safety of our people have allowed themselves to get into a position they cannot function without tearing our founding principles and civil liberties in mass without oversight, constraints, or limitations, well then we have already lost the battle as the threat has moved us into a place of injuring ourselves out of fear. In this case that Injury has been so well executed that we no longer reluctantly agree to it but instead we now gleefully and with determination walk our children into a america unrecognizable as the country we enjoyed at their age. Our government is broken shameful and woefully unable to conduct honest business for the people they represent. It not a matter of lacking hope but now I'm in a place of open distain and outrage at the shackles our government places on all of us. We aren't walking into tyranny. We are there.
