No, it was someone who does hunts releasing 'spares' in to the wild. I've got nearly 250£ worth of commemoratives here ready to release, just waiting on getting that 250. Someone (probably in Llangefni) will be in for a shock.

Firstly may i say ..your the reason i started collecting 50p and £2 coins.. Just watched your latest video were you completed your latest collection with triathlon. I recently came across a mass collection similar to yours..only 5 coins out of the £250 were not commemorative coins.bulk of it was 172 benjamin bunny 84 peter rabbit 2017.also 29 Olympic coins (22) diffrent. Most of the rare 50p in circulation in great numbers and last not least lucky to find my first ever Kew Gardens. I live 10min from the Royal Mint so someday soon im hoping to meet you..

That was my take - the chances of having that concentration of commemoratives in one bag (at least 4 or 5 bags solely of high value commemorative coins) is immense.

I mean, that’s the motherlode of 50p’s. I would wager that is the single most number of commemoratives you’ve ever found in one hunt? Was great to see your reaction when Olympic after Olympic came out - at one point when you thought there was a Kew Gardens, the sigh was hilarious. Glad you had such a good hunt to end that book. 👍
