Hi Tony. I’m a little late watching this week, but enjoyed it nonetheless. The term “Fore” used in golf dates back to the original Scottish game when due to the high cost of a golf ball men were employed to go ahead of the golfers to watch and see where the ball(s) landed so as to reduce the number lost. These men were known as ‘Forecaddies’. When ready to tee off the golfer would alert the Forecaddy to watch for the ball by yelling “Forecaddy”. With time the term was reduced to “Fore” and with the eventual disuse of Forecaddies became warning “heads up” to anyone on the course in the direction of play. “life is simpler when you plow around the stump.” Dates back to what is known as “Homesteading wisdom.” It simply means to not get hung up on things you can’t change. So, you can’t plow through a stump, but you can go around it and keep plowing. “Don’t let the cat out of the bag.” Has two possible origins. One comes from the practice in the 1700s of carrying purchased piglets home from market in a ‘poke’ (burlap bag). This also gave rise to the saying “don’t buy a pig in a poke.” Unscrupulous sellers would try and sell “piglets in an already tied bag, but in actuality we’re selling you a stray cat. So, if you didn’t open the bag you “bought a pig in a poke” ie: got taken. But if you did open the bag you revealed the swindle, as the cat would escape the bag. The 2nd explanation comes from the days of sailing ships when disciplinary action often included the use of a ‘cat-o-nine tails’ which was often stored in a sack. To let the cat out of the bag meant to reveal or do something which resulted in punishment, the Captain got the “cat” out of the bag. “Left holding the bag.” First appeared in the mid 18th century. It is attributed to a time when gangs of thieves (highway men) would work together to rob travellers. If the authorities came you did not want to be the gang member holding the bag of loot, ie; left holding the bag - which of course proved your guilt. Have a great week Tony. God bless. 🙂🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I'm ready! Dr Google is the only way to go! The word four for 4. Hold on while I Google that 😂 ... the makeup. That's hysterical. No. But. Jinx on you! Plow around the stump thing... well I left the room to Google it. (See question 1. I think it was 1. Maybe it was 2. It definitely wasn't 3) it said, a bumblebee is faster than a john deere tractor. Seriously. Don't let the cat out of the bag. It has to do with medieval times and a pig. You can squeeze a potato? That's my question. Rob is going to be ticked off at you when he wakes up with honey on his head. 😂😂 see you on episode 110 ....
