awesome video my friend I'm having problems with my mk2 25 cal 700mm I want to shoot pellets and not slugs I'm tired of slugs out that gun but I'm having problems turning the gun for pellets but I think its because I have some mods like slug kit Ernest dual port heavy liner I don't know man but I have the gun on 95 bar pw on 3 barely any hst fx usa sent me some parts to try out I'm just trying to shoot jsb 34 at 860 to 880 fps but man fos is all over the place up and down so I'm going to put the gun back to factory take out all mods out and go from there this video really helped me out understanding what air guns are doing thanks so much for sharing bsafe buddy sorry for the long comment

@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter the prophet 2 was delivered. Removed the barrel just to clean and have a look. One o ring on the barrel breech end minus 20 percent of its total diameter. A burr on the barrel where the barrel retainer screw slot is milled. This burr has also slightly damaged the breech. While looking for the missing o ring piece I found another mangled o ring lying in the breech. Full strip down of a rifle I have not even fired one pellet through or a return to seller.☹️ Not quite sure what option to take at the moment. Either way, the prophet 2 has become a disappointment. Hopefully others will have better luck.

On the video I explained it. This gun wqs sent by RTI to me with the valve installed and they have to tweak it because it's not compatible. I don't know the magic they did.

Is that a 200cc bottle on ur Prophet? I put one on my FX Dreamline Power Pup to lighten up for hunting and carrying. Love it. Still get 3 mags. My Rattler 35 shipped today. With 174gr slugs its capable of 275fpe. Hogs are not happy .

Good to see the new valve in action! I have it setup to shoot the 18,13 grain JSB Heavy at around 945 and it seems a bit hot, the accuracy is great up to at least 50m but not at 100m. I need to do some more testing and see what I will find out. What speed have you found that the JSB Heavy likes to be shot from the Compact? Thanks for sharing Earl and a big thumbs up to you and to RTI as well :-)

When you said "I have it setup to shoot..." are you refering to your RTI Compact? Or to the new valve, I don't know if people are getting the Priest 2 with the new valve already. For the JSB Heavies I like to tune those between 850 and 880, my gun also have the prototype barrel (maybe for another video) but this barrel is a 500mm, so it's longer than the one that comes with the compact and I can push the speed a bit easier with it, I don't know how much you will need to push a Prophet 1 to get 880 with the Heavies ... When I received the gun it had the regulator set to 150 and I try a Heavy and was flying at 1000fps, I was... WTF let me move this down .... But again, I haven't shoot the regular Compact with the old valve so I don't know how capable is that other version.

Yes I was refering to my first gen Prophet Preformance Compact Fat Boy edition, you know the one with a 350cc Leshiy 2 bottle ;-) that I bought the very same day Fransisco started selling them :-) I have the regulator set at about 140 bar now but I will try to lower the power somewhat and see what happens and I might also try to crank it up some more and see what it can do with the Monster RE :-)

@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter It can be mounted but it touches the shroud you need to remove about a millimeter from the shroud to get a little clearence. The shroud is only 39 euro so not expensive if you want to return to the smaller bottle for some reason. I removed the bulk of the material using an anglegrinder attached with a 40 grit flap-disc and then polished the surface using 320grit emory cloth with a a file as backing to get it flatI. A milling machine would probably be a faster way but for modifying one gun the flapdisc works great assuming you have experience using it. 'll e-mail you a pic or two.

I'm right hand but I shoot left handed. My lady just bought a Wildcat MK3, bottle with a 600mm barrel. It's fun to shoot but since I'm shooting left handed, the mag is in my face amd keeps me from seeing through the scope properly. I like the power it produces, Hades @ 910fps with the reg at 135bar. But your RTI was shooting them about that same velocity with the reg under 100bar. I may have to look into the Prophet 2 of they've fixed the valve/regulator issues.

The Cricket 2 Tactical is the most precise rifle that I’ve ever shot, but it lack adjustments. This is where the RTI comes to place. I was planning on buying the Prophet 2, but when I saw that rifle I just decided ro wait. Some info would be nice!

Hi Orion When in valve lock, it’s not firing out pellet, correct? So when you readjust valve isn’t there a pellet still in the breach? so won’t it be double loaded, with pellets? As noticed that it took a few attempts to get valve opened to get it to fire. Great vid though, full of information. Keep up the good work. Wayne

You are correct, if not opening at all do it without magazine, if start opening then place the magazine in place to see the speed, mine was shooting there in the video but really really slow

My 30cal. Prophet II Performance rifle reg is at 150bar and the hammer screw is turned in around 6 turns from flush. I took it out for the first time today and it seemed to be shooting really slow and weak. POI was all over the place at 35 yards. Do you think it's possible for it to be in valve lock with the hammer screw turned in that far? I tried to chronograph but my FX chrony batteries were dead.

Ok put new batteries in the FX Chrony. Put it on the Prophet II and took it out to the backyard and took a shot and the chrony wasn't reading anything. Took about 5 more shots and still no reading from the chrony. Decided to try the chrony on my Wildcat MK II and it worked perfectly fine. So I decided to turn the hammer screw in 1/4 turn on the prophet and I finally got a reading of 643fps. Turned the hammer screw in another 1/4 turn and got a reading of 930. I decided to leave it there till I get out to the range. So my reg is at 150 and my hammer screw is sunk 7.33mm in. Shooting 30cal FX 44.8 grain atomic pellets at around 930fps as of right now. Any input would be appreciated.

I have been watching your vids for a while and being that you shoot both FX and RTI, I would like to ask your opinion about the Prophet 2 vs the FX Maverick and Impacts. I have an FX Crown currently, but I am not totally sold on the FX liner system. It seems like a good idea, but I am not convinced that they are consistent in their quality and therefore, their accuracy. It appears to me that the Prophet 2 is a simpler gun, but every bit as powerful and at least as accurate if not more accurate than an Impact or Maverick. What would you say and what are your opinions on the positives and negatives of each?

te sugiero que quites el shroud, tienes que quitar el scope, el cannon solo esta sujetado por el tornillo que esta justo delante del magazine, pero quita el shroud y afloja ese tornillo y saca el cannon y revisa todo, hay varios o-rings en el cannon que espero que esten bien. Si no sabes, puedo hacer un video corto mostrando como hacer eso

Personalmente prefiero no manipular tanto el resorte del martillo, sólo regular la válvula y cambio manejar el peso del postón u ojiva./Personally, I prefer not to manipulate the hammer spring so much, just regulate the valve and instead manage the weight of the post or ogive.

Hi WC I have a .22 P1, mines running at 11.8ft lbs. I would imagine that tuning really only applies to FAC/ performance version. Sadly for us sub 12 ft there isn’t much in the way of tuning to be done. These rifles have been designed for higher power. So for the UK they have been throttled back. My one can be tuned up, but not until I got FAC license.

Very interesting, but there is one thing that does not convince me: what happens with the regulator creeping? All regulators have some creep...

What happens with the creep on the other guns? Same will happen with this, creep hasn't been noticeable so far. I haven't experienced anything yet. Before with the Priest 2, if you follow my videos, creep was an issue

@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter I've seen a lot of your videos, and maybe it's because of you that I bought a Priest2. My opinion is that all regulators have some creeping (mine is about 8bar), and the greater pressure in the pre-chamber could cause the balanced valve to fail to open completely (only for 2-3 shots). Perhaps this is why RTI advised you to give the spring an extra 1/4 turn. Sorry for my bad English, but I hope you understand me ... Thanks Orion !!!

@@metiu5239 at lower reg pressure the small increment in pressure caused by creep could cause what you are describing, but the extra turn in the HST is so you can move the reg up a little bit. Gregor told me he tune the gun in a different way, but he tunes for high power, this is what he does, he set the reg to 180 bar then finds the hammer spring tension that opens the valve and that's the setting he uses even when turning the regulator down, now, he never goes below 120 bar. I could see the same behavior on my video when I tuned the gun for 130 bar and went down to 90, the shots where consistent, I backed down the hammer tension because I was out of the efficiency range and might be wasting air if too much hammer if applied, due to the valve not closing fast enough. The extra half turn I did in the video was exactly because of what you describe, if I left the hammer on the edge of tuning, any minor creep could cause the valve lock, so the advice at another quarter turn definitely will help in case of creep also, but to me the intension is to find a setting where you can set and forget and move the reg up and down without the need to move the hammer tension anymore

@@metiu5239 Hi buddy, maybe you missed this on my video, but I explained that the rifle is a Prophet 1 as you know and it has the new valve but this work was done at the factory. RTI did the install, and I don't think it's an easy modification, at the time they sent me the gun is when they realized they need to modify the body and they didn't have the new body, so I ended up with the old body and the new valve, but again, this was a hack they did for me to test the valve.

There are just 1 thing i dont like about the RTI rifles, and that is that silly looking regulator between the rifle and the bottle, it just make it look cheap in my eyes, like it is slapped on as a after thought. So wish they would make the trigger housing bigger to accommodate the regulator in it. BTW right now according to the rather poor gauge ( factory ) on my Maverick showing 90 BAR i shoot 13 grain pellets at 977´FPS, with a STD dev of under 3 on a 10 shot string / 977 MAX - 970 Low

You can tune the Maverick to have a great STD, mine also shoots very consistent, but the key difference is that you have to tune the HST to get that STD, change the pressure on the regulator and then you will have to do the HST tuning again, with this valve, you set the HST and forget, you just move the reg pressure and will be good. It's a different valve system and a different tuning experience. I think I saw on the new RTI gun the regulator was built in on the gun, not inline with the bottle, so they might be into something, and that's what I like about the brand, they are moving forward with changes that make sense.

@@OriOnTheIguanaHunter Anything that make airgunning simpler i am all for, and i thing really on my Mavrick there are too much to tinker with. On the other hand my Vulcan 3 have too little, or too little readily availebel as even hammer adjustment you have to take the stock off,,,,, not that it cant be done in seconds at the bench. regulator like other eastern guns, well you cant get to it, without loosing a lot of air to the air instead of shooting fun. I have modded my vulcan 3 sp it use FX bottles so i at least to not loose the air in there. Several new guns in my sights, but i really want one 100 % made for shooting .177 slugs.
