This is amazing parenting right here. Teaching your son proper communication, so that he isn’t afraid to speak his mind and talk to you if something is bothering him. THIS is how you become the trusted adult in your child’s life, by actually listening to what they have to say.

Yeah me too. I’m a little older than you aswell lol. Just never transitioned to calling them “mom and dad”. I will also call them mother and father lol

Glad you listened to him and let him talk about what bothers him without taking it personal..You even understood..Some parents are childish and take it too personal..They would even make the singing and dancing louder and more embarrassing just to prove some weird point...Like im the parent I will do what I want..You can't tell me what to do..I'm doing nothing wrong..Those are the worst kind of people..

My mom embarrasses me in front of my friends all the time . To her , my friends never make mistakes even though during a group project , they literally ripped the foam board . While she literally grounded me for making the paint for the same project a tiny bit darker

I don't have children. I embarassed my very younger girl cousin (10 or 11 at the time) going on the seesaw with children (that not me neither Her knew). Of course I was an adult.
