Next time if you land on a double space (challenge and hard) you should apply your prompts together. So the pick two books for the same prompt could apply to the challenge prompt instead of picking a pitcher prompt and then also do a challenge prompt. Does that make sense? Oh my gooooosh, literally gasped when it hit "start over" at the end. Maybe you can implement a rule, especially if you are only doing one die, that you only have to start over once no matter what. Good luck, I hope they are mostly 5 star reads at least!

Oh my gosh, I so felt your pain when you got the "Go back to the beginning". I think on the ones that had 2 stickers, I would make the prompts combine. So instead of picking a book for each sticker, pick one book that works for both. Oh my gosh! You had to start over twice!!! You poor thing! Your tbr looks about like how mine turned out. In the end I have 21 books for August to read. I love tbr games and I play multiple on my channeI. New subscriber here!

I try to participate in some of the Litsy challenges, but I think this is one of the best reading challenge games I've seen, as there's plenty of options you put in there with your rolls. I gotta figure out a challenge game to help me to *complete* more books each month (as opposed to just starting new ones and jumping around between quite a lot which is ever-expanding).

Alright I now know why you only use a D6 and have start over prompts. I just made my own version and played for August. I used a D12 and had 3 rolls(including end of board wheel) and 4 books 🙈🤦‍♀️

Wishing you the best with your reads. Large TBRs can be done but take some stratigizing and planning which makes it less enjoyable. Maybe in the future you can use one die but if you have to go back to the beginning you can use two so it doesn't get so unmanageable? It didn't help you kept getting low numbers. Anyway Wishing you the best and hope you enjoy the reads you do get to.

I really like the challenge aspect of it! I find with my adhd that adding a challenge makes me much more likely to read more often. I did buy some new dice though with 8 sides and 10 sides so next month I can use one die without it getting out of control 😅

I think when you spin a start over you should start completely over. So you have no books and no prompts. (The board stays the same, you just start at the beginning like it is the first time through) does that make sence

Maybe one time you should try doing all of your prompts first then choosing books - and allowing yourself to double up on at least some of them. For example, a lot of your books could have counted as female author + one other prompt. You could do it as a percentage so that if you end up with a lot of prompts, you can double up more.

That’s not a bad idea! I knew going in that this would likely end up being an impossible tbr when I decided to use one die, and I like the challenge of it. But I think if I wanted a shorter tbr one month I could totally double up on prompts!
