it’s so important to reflect and recognise that as much as we love bags as a community, are we fuelling overconsumption and excess purchases in the name of having the latest release? i’m glad you continued this conversation. no one should have to get themselves into financial trouble or storage trouble just to fit into the community. we can still be a bag lover and have a small collection, and we can have bag collections of any size, do WIMB videos, and we shouldn’t feel like we’re not a proper bag collector/ lover. and obviously, people’s money are theirs to do with what they will, but i just don’t want people thinking they have to excessively spend on bags they don’t even use just to feel included in this space. much love ❤

I am where you are and I had to ask myself, "when is enough, enough?" I have a 12 cube shelf with storage cubes housing my SLGs. I have 2 5-shelf book cases, 1 extra wide 9-cube storage shelf and 1 extra wide 12 cube storage shelf that will fit the tote bags with no problems. I use the tops of the book cases and shelves too, plus I have storage drawers for all the bags charms and pouches. I find myself being disappointed when I think about all the money I've spent and how it could have been better purposed elsewhere. I keep reminding myself that no bag looks or feels as good as debt-free does! I need to get my life together real quick. Fix it Jesus, fix it.🙏

This video is right on time for me. I live in a 4 bedroom house and my bags are suppose to be in one if my extra bedroom..Lol . But instead in my master bedroom I have 3 shelves in the room and you can at least put 20 bags on the shelf. I also have bags on my bed, in my bedroom closet. And I have ran out of space. I have decided as of right now to carry by bags and see what works for me and what doesn’t. And ones that doesn’t I will be selling them. My friend sadly to say I know I need to stop purchasing but I have a love for bags. And purchasing something I love makes me happy. I understand the struggle but I don’t have no solution because I know I need to stop purchasing also. All I’m saying you’re not by yourself it is so hard .And is so many of us is going through the same struggle purchasing the things we love that makes us happy. Tfs😊❤

I was close to 50 bags a couple of months ago, and just little by little started letting go of the ones I wasn’t in love with. For me, if a bag sits too long without enough use, it’s getting the boot! Downsizing can really help when feeling overwhelmed, but after that it’s really about being intentional on what bags you bring in. I think once you part with some of your bags, you’ll be fine and you’ll find more joy in the ones you choose to keep.

Hi Beautiful… ugh and big sigh😔 You are right on time with this video. I am currently on a break from YT mainly because I had to deal with my bags. I’m embarrassed to say that I’m in a 5 bedroom house and 3 bedrooms are FILLED with my bags! Bags on king size beds, bags on shelves, bags in closets.. I can’t do this anymore! I have made the decision to downsize/donate/& sell some of my bags and take my chances on having regrets and separation anxiety of giving away bags. For me, the only storage solution is to downsize. Best to you on your journey of finding storage solutions ❤

I took a two year break from buying bath and body works. I just used my last hand soap but still have a few candles. I’m only buying bath and body as a one out one in thing. I’m also on a pen and notebook book ban. I’m decluttering other areas like dishes and clothes. Bags and accessories are my weakness. I have a room dedicated to those but I’ve overflowed my shelves and refuse to buy another. 😂 It is so messy right now, you’d only see a photo on eye witness news if I’m buried alive by them. 😁😂😁 You are doing well to make decisions about what doesn’t work for you. I sold/donated close to 40 bags at the end of last year. I felt overwhelmed and needed to downsize. Much like you, I plan to just enjoy the bags in my collection and only buy what’s on my wishlist, which at the moment consists of three bags.

Woo woo woo Chile woo the KZbin bag influencers are real and addicting. I have bags at home in Wisconsin and here in Arizona, and I’m out of control. All of my bags in Arizona are in dust bags because the dust is really bad. I’m working on storage solutions here in Arizona, but for the most part they all fit in a few closets. I’m gonna sell most of my juicy couture collection this summer as I like a few but not in love. I do store a lot of totes inside of each other and multiples in dust bags. I have a plastic storage drawer for my slg’s. I sold a few things that I really love and have total regret. Yes, sis I’m out of control over here too! I like the conversations surround the purse community, I love watching “what’s in my purse/bag” videos but have found the vast majority is very staged and it off putting to me as I’m just nose-y and want to know what is in the purse 😂 Very aesthetic and my purse contents aren’t aesthetic LOL. Recognizing you have a shopping problem is the best way to start being more intentional with your purchases. It’s so easy to get swept away with all the cute bags that keeps coming out. Once I fall out of love with a bag I always past them along to my mom or sister first, and if they don’t want them or not their style I will sell them. I don’t have that many bags so I store most of them in a drawer or in my closet. The ones I’m wearing more often I display them on top of my clothing rack. If I had to give a number for how many is too many bags I would say over 30? Or when you run out of storage space I guess 😅

You HAVE to sell some. If I fall out of love with a bag. I will either pass on to my daughter or I will sell it. The down side is that I may buy a new bag to replace it 😂 Usually though, I will buy other items such as clothing or decor. My beauty room is too small to keep storing bags though so if I don’t LOVE a bag, I have to sell it. Some of my friends actually approach me on a regular basis to ask me if I want to sell a bag when they see me post a video about it and they know that I don’t carry the bag on a regular basis, so definitely get rid in my opinion! ❤

I use storage container to store my purses as well as foldable clothes. I have two smaller container that I store coordinating wallets in. I got rid of Dooney & Burke purses that were from the 2005 leather collection except 1 that I kept for nostalgic purposes for the leather faded. As for Bath & Body Works, I only buy enough that I can wear a different lotion a day & buy only one large body spray. When I buy the bath gels, I keep them in a small shopping bag. I keep the BBW travel size lotions, sprays & gels in a separate storage container than the large-size ones.

YES! I am totally in the same predicament. I don’t even want to make a list, I just review all of my videos 😂. I probably have about 50 now, and I store them in pop up fabric bins that zip closed. When we moved last year, I really saw the extent of my bag collecting. The bins I have spread out in closets, and a few in the garage.

Sis, don't feel guilty for having a collection. I believe that I have an issue with letting go of bags. I cam up with a solution. how many bags i buy i have to give that number of bags away. I gift my bags to those that can't afford nice quality bags. I lett go of bags that i have not carried for years. If I'm no reaching for it then I won’t notice that its gone lol. I'm now on a promise to my husband not to buy anymore bags. If I have the desire to purchase, I just switch bags or/and go into my closet and see the mess i have created. This so relatable. I try not to buy so much B&BW.. Those items do expire.. in my POV.. The scent definitely smells different after a certain period passes. For storage: I Fold those city totes that’s just me. They’re canvas anyways so they’ll be ok.. I’ve done that with my canvas LV Neverfull since 2008 and it’s still looks good.. so I told myself why not fold the Coach Canvas City Totes. I also need to start one of those Poshmarks too.. to sell to make room.. but it’s a whole process for me to eliminate bags since I love my bags 😅😅 I congratulate you in advance for doing so. When the Hype kicks in I usually start shopping my closet and what I have.. Purse storage I fold anything foldable if possible… I slowed down on the SLGs for sure.. so many shades of every color I cannot keep up with them.. Unless I i really like it I will let time pass to see if it’s a dopamine kicking in or I truly love it and to see if i have nothing similar.. When is it enough… I try to go back how I was before I started this channel.. Remembering buying SLGs when my old one is breaking down.. I also put a few bags in a tub, the bag obsession has exploded since a lot of brands came out with colors. When everything is black brown n navy as to a few yrs ago I didn't buy as much. Now I love colors and it's becoming a problem. As for the bath n body go through them anything you haven't used in 2 yrs get rid of and throw out. If the lotion has a funny smell or if it is liquidity throw it out. Try n rotate the scents when using them

Yes it's the pretty colors for me. My current color obsession is pink. I did really well keeping my BBW purchases to a minimum until 2 years ago. Most of my older products have been decluttered. Yep I get it! At one point my sister told me my storage room looked like a handbag showroom. Most of those bags I didn't even use. I have since downsized (although I recently realized I have more than I thought). I am not in a purge stage at the moment (still have a few handbags I want to purchase) but plan on reevaluating what I have around the fall (which is usually when I start feeling overwhelmed). Definitely can relate to the Bath and Body Works. I fixed that about 2 years ago and I’ve done good with that. My bags are so much fun!! I think how I control the bags I have by dedicating a certain amount of space for them. If a new bag won’t fit, it can’t come or something else has to go. I have quite a few bags in my collection and some still with tags. I started downsizing last year. I started with Juicy Couture and donated to various churches and gave to my nieces. Some I gave away. I originally thought I needed to make room to save for luxury brands but I’m truly a COACH girl. Give me some COACH retail, sneakers and TB sandals 🎯 I’ve honestly came to terms with just like any other hobby you have to set rules and guidelines for yourself. I’m still downsizing but it’s been a fun process because it’s been gradual and not so much a big issue. It feels good to look back and see who’s still standing! I know this topic has been on your radar for quite some time. I believe you’ll find that perfect mix just for you. For now, keep taking those baby steps until you reach your final goal. I agree we don’t need it all, but it’s also good to do it with moderation. Great video!!

You can store smaller bags inside your totes. You can also store smaller SLGs and accessories that match the bag inside it. I have a huge fabric tote on my top shelf of my closet that I store some bags in, and the smaller ones are inside the larger ones. I display my favorites in my shelves where I can see them. If it doesn't make me happy and if I find myself passing it up because I've carried it so much I'm sick of it, it goes. If it truly makes me happy, I keep it. I try not to buy bags just for a video. I choose what I LOVE, not what I think everyone else will love.

Michael Kors are having great sales. I kind of went a little crazy as well. I stopped buying the totes because when I was shopping or if I had to bend down they were getting in the way. Omg girl I have the same problem 😓. Unfortunately I live in an apartment that doesn’t have much storage so I had to rent a storage unit just for my handbags. I have them stored in plastic storage boxes 🤷🏻‍♀️…. I have them organized by either color or brand.

We just moved from a 4 bedroom with Basement home so I’m going from a lot of space to 2 bedroom. 😟 currently I have 54 bags in total. I’m not proud of it and have gotten rid of some, but then get them right back. Ugh what’s wrong with me! 😂 with my totes I use those to put smaller bags in.

About 15 years! I did do a major declutter during the pandemic and reduced my collection by 15-20 bags. Most of what is shown on camera has been purchased since starting my channel. Great question ❤️

Great Content Sis! When my Husband purchased my Kallax from Ikea all of my Anxiety about my bags disappeared 🙌🏾🙌🏾 I was able to store most my bags in one Room! A bedroom is cleared just for my bags. I'm still working on it! But it was a relief. I've only purchased 3 bags so far this year but i also sold 3 bags. That's Great for me. I'm so thankful that I didn't jump on that Juicy trend lol I've been resisting the sales for most part trying to focus on my wishlist only. I will share pictures with you on Instagram. I am currently downsizing my bags and makeup bags. I was just saying a few weeks ago I had started a strict finance plan for myself and recently I was looking at all my bags, makeup bags and other items I haven’t used/worn or really loved anymore and decided I would probably sell them on either EBay or Poshmark and put toward my financial goals/Emergency fund /pay off debt. I am only keeping the items I really and I love with!❤❤❤ I have also missed the majority of the Bath & Bodyworks sales for the past few weeks as I really don’t need much more, my daughter said it looks like ULTA in my bedroom so I figured I had better pair down a bit. I do give away my Bath & Bodyworks from time To time I make Self care baskets for people going through mental health/health issues just to cheer them up so I do get to give a few away too which is good but I am still cutting back.🫶🫶🥰❤️🥰 I didn’t know you had a Poshmark Sis!! I sold or donated most of the bags that I wasn't using or knew I would never carry. At one point, I had 3 walk-in closets full of bags🤯. I'm down to one closet and my shelves in my filming area. I thought that I would feel regret after selling my bags, but no, it's actually freeing.🩷
