yep. the man has literally everything needed to make custom NdFeB/SmCo magnets at an industrial level and he's probably going to make maybe five total for a video and never go into production. There's easily $100,000 of machinery viewable right now.

3:06 You should definitely just ask some random participant you know that has a lathe and is going to opensauce to turn a handful of those steel bases for you, or even ask multiple people to handle one each. It's not like they're that big or turning a cylinder to a certain height and diameter is that complex, unless the bases are made of an ultra rare vanadium titanium steel alloy damascened in a proprietary process with an even rarer and more expensive alloy that replaces the carbon content with Copper(IIII) hyper-fluorite or some such.
