I really enjoyed watching this, seeing how the song evolved day by day and that this is actually a long process. Its not far from my own producing process, just try to work on the track every day and even if i don't feel it, just by starting something comes up. Nice video Aurelie :)

Nice songs ! I'm doing music production for 18 months now. I have plenty of time , so , for 18 months now I ' m doing every day 2.5 hours Only song making, and in the afternoon i' m watching and applying various techniques , for 1 hour. After 18 months, doing every day this, , I completely finished 20 songs. What i can say from my experience , is that I still need 30-35 hours to completely finish a song, with vocal chops or ready vocals. Arrangement-sound selection is 80%, of a song (including automation) . Mixing is the rest 20%. My purpose is to complete finish a song in 30 hours max.

I'm doing the same thing and the results have been fantastic, yes it can be time consuming making a song but if you plan well, have an idea when you get started, you can get all the sounds you need in your project before you start and a few reference tracks and its actually really simple when you start writing and recording.

Then use loops and build your own stuff ontop dont try to do everything because its not going to end up sounding good. Use pre made drums and then you put your own melodies ontop and sing if thats what you do. No point wasting your time remaking what the professionals have already made available to you in sample packs. All professionals use loops in alot of hit records.

Love your videos! I have a question. How do you stay motivated to complete songs when no one cares or even listens to your music? Not even your family! I know we make music for the art and the love of doing it, but even a painter would like SOMEONE to look at their paintings occasionally, you know? Sometimes I wonder, why do this at all? If I am the only one who listens and cares, why not just stop and play video games or something?

I have probably hundreds of unfinished songs and projects and its is so irratating I have to stop making new music until I have done something with what I already started, even if its just ends up being a remix for youtube only these projects have to be finished its a nightmare to be honest. I just put a rap Accapella made a bassline and some other stuff and finished a project from 2008 in 2024 lol, hows that for a time gap?
