Wow I pray that this is my testimony too. I get so sick in my stomach when I think of my doubts. I KNOW its dishonouring to the character of God...and I have no excuse really.... I keep praying that he please make his Word just THE BIGGEST reality i have ever known. I hate doubting i really do, it makes me more fearful of even witnessing (because i then feel hypocritical) . May God please keep me amd stay with me. And if I'm not truly saved i pray he rescues me from the fire.

@@jmilitala14 we all fall short of his glory every single day. We have doubts sometimes, but our Father loves us. He knows we struggle and he's a forgiving God.For me praying to him pushes the doubts out and let's his light in. I was not a very good person for a long time and shame wants to fill my heart but our Lord's light drives it away. It is my prayer that you find the peace in your heart that passes all understanding. When you look at the sun rising, plants growing, new born life coming into this world know that that's our Fathers work. He's here and he loves you and he has a plan for your life even when you don't understand it. In Jesus name, Amen. Stay blessed 🙏

I dislike doubting so much but it just scares me that no matter what I can’t seem to just believe. Dunno if you are still struggling with this but I recently escaped a similar dilemma over many years. What fixed it was asking God every day "what do you want me to know about you?" and listening until I had something to write down. I came away with alot of things I'd never taken seriously in 10 years of struggle. God uses faith, in accordance with how much you have been given. (Think parable of the talents). Use what ya got to do what you know you ought to and you will know him better. The end goal is to Love God. I pray you do or will love God above all else. Peace be with you!

I have been agnostic for many years after a lot of research but I need to believe because I need purpose after so much devestating loss. I have increasingly been in worse and worse situations. I am broken & turned to him. I asked him to help me through Jesus and the holy ghost. I believe he is working in me. It hasn't happened overnight but I know he heard me, he did because I was broken & gave myself to him. I will begin reading the bible again yet admit I have a lot of issues with it. I am hoping they disappear as I pursue this relationship. Pray for me if you feel inclined to do so & thank you if you do. 💔

God uses Charles Stanley incredibly .I've been watching him since 1997 when I 1st gave my heart and now at 41 my life completely to God and Jesus for their usens NOT my own .I'm 41 STILL looking 28..I look nothinnnnnng like what I've been through that's for sure. Thank God He wants us to believe in Him and that He will help us. I wouldn't be where I am on my path to believing in Him again if it wasn't for the tugging on my heart and His guidance and grace. I've had multiple extreme panic attacks about Hell and about the Rapture coming before He might save me and grant me faith, but I'm still holding on with believing He will help me along the journey. Fortunately God loves us more than we can imagine and will help us so much for Him to save us by grace.

First of all, bless you. I hope you're doing okay. If you can manage to read this looong story, you're very patient :) My native language is not English, so sorry... These verbs came to mind for you. Revelations 3:12 John 3:16 Jakob 4:7 Hebrews 11:1-6 I hope God will embrace you in his loving arms forever. I know live can be tough. I've been struggling with lots of things myself. Been bullied during my entire school period, later also at jobs. As mearly a grown up a colleague i barely knew with kids of her own even told me my kind's too ugly to live. She hated negroes. Believe me. I didn't saw that coming as in those days i was very introvert and kind off a 'pleaser'. I wanted everyone to like me and can't remember ever saying anything to put someone off. I tried to be overly kind. Not really natural when i think of it now. In my youth my dad was a drug addict and my mother grew ill and struggled with all sorts of weird illness. She got bedridden for years and could no longer work. We had no support from anyone except sometimes from a sweet pastor. I used to take care of most of my parents needs as they couldn't completely take care of themselves household/administration and debts any longer. That was in my puberty. I didn't go out as we could use the money to pay off the debt of loans and bills. My dad never's been much of a conversator. I felt the need to compensate and fill that gap towards my 'needing' mother. I didn't have any boyfriend nor friends 'cause till a certain age people found me too ugly to look at. At least that's what i was told many times. It's a strange but you tend to believe things you're repeatedly being told, even lies. I decided to get baptised as I grew older. My parents already went too church long before that. My mother could no longer visit due to illness and my father stopped going as well. After baptising i was still depressed about my dad's addiction etc. and asked a deacon and his wife what they thought. They barely knew me or the situation, but they told me I was obstructing God, standing in His way by helping out my parents financially. They actually wanted us to be put out on the street, so my dad would learn his lesson. They didn't know my dad never took responsibillity from the day I was born and has a mental disability. As i told them i was depressed from bullying, moms illness etc. they told me i was baptised but had a 'black' spirit, so i wasn't baptised in the holy spirit. Also we were ill because of our sins. I was heartbroken and felt torn apart as if i didn't belong with God. Just for a moment though as i thought of Jesus who told us to help one another and of the verse Luke 3:11 and now of verses Roman 6:6 It became more difficult for me to attend as well as i had developed asthma and got mor tired over the years. I always went on my bycicle and it was quite far. I stopped going as at a certain time i noticed the lecture went on and on about materialistic things, ego, status and stuff I don't believe are written in the bible. After years and being grown up i met my boyfriend at work. After 6 months of dating i grew ill. Just one year before that I've had a near death experience as I got hit by ex-colleagues in a police bus. I got away miraculously. Untill this day doctors don't know what's wrong with me and I'm often experience excruciating pains. My boyfriend has a past of breaking his neck and has survived cancer. Yet his mother struggles with the same illness I have which is Lyme's disease. If there's anything I've learned God works in mysterious ways. When I look back on my life I notice I've learned empathy towards people who go through depression, pain. I also learned God made many beautiful herbs and foods for our healing i wouldn't have learned about if i would have remained healthy. Sometimes hardships can make you stronger but it's hard to see when you are in the middle of it. I often listen to Ron Kenoly. "If you catch hell don't hold it. If you're going through hell don't stop...". Bless you. Only believe in Gods word. People can tell you anything. The world's become a hard place, but there's a lovin' God.

I've always believed in God and in the Bible. I've been raised in a Christian home and graduated from a Christian school. Took Bible classes in high school. Now I'm in college. I recently came out of a stronghold in my life. I'm still living at home with two wonderful Christian parents. Always gone to church. Both my parents are Christians and believe in God and the Bible. Never questioned why I did or didn't believe the Bible or God. Now I'm questioning it and having trouble believing in The Bible and in God. I have been praying for God to reveal Himself to me and to show Himself strong to me. Wondering if it's all true and real and also struggling with being tempted to go back to doing things my own way. I wasn't really having a good relationship with God for about two or three years just going through the motions. Also having trouble trying to want to pursue a relationship with Him. I'm trying though.

@@Nameless-pt6oj I just wasted 20 minutes watching Turek, who, in one video, is arguing that God must exist and the Bible must be fact because one of the gospel writers included something in the book that might not make him look good "and why would anyone do that unless it's true?" He tries to equate women being at Jesus' tomb with the idea that Jesus resurrecting is a fact. He's unable to provide proof or evidence with anything he's saying. He'd first have to prove that the writings of the Bible are literal and not just stories meant to teach people lessons, and no human being has ever been able to do that.

Walking with God is work.. not just asking for him to do this and that. we must read the bible to know HIM. Pray for things that are his will not ours.. at times people pray for things we want, well maybe is not good for us. when i pray for instance is More Faith, salvation for my family, break strong holds. Peace, i seek strength to surrender to his will, bcz we tend to do what we want, not what God wants.. we have to obey him.. in the bible it says that God will answer if we follow his comments, not just bcz we believe in God, he will answer us.. we have to know the character of God by reading… than it will all make sence. take time in prayer everyday… just like we spend time with a boyfriend.. we talk to him spend time knowing him Doing what he wants ect Same goes for God..God sees, knows everything that is in our hearts.. If he have resentments jealousy anger toward someone unforgiveness trying to control We have to work on those things, bcz those things block blessings.. confess to God when you feel fear, tell him God i don’t like feeling fear or anger, help me God… that is building a relationship….. Just trust in Him pal, He is by all means willing to help you and save from this evil. Read Romans chapter 2! If you are not saved, then you are absolutely on your way to hell in eternal flames. If you want to be saved, then believe in the gospel. Jesus Christ came to earth to be a sacrifice for our sins. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect sinless life, and died on the cross for our sins, because that was His mission. To die for us in our place of God's wrath. Three days after His death, He rose again! Now He is in Heaven and He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. If you surrender your life to Him and receive Him as your Lord and savior, then you will go to heaven and receive the Holy Spirit!!! He is real, just ask Him to reveal Himself to you:)

I agree and believe all the precious truths here and sometimes I get the doubts and what hikes them up is the feeling that if Jesus were to return in the next 60 seconds...I would get left behind...oh man that adds a whole round of shaking fear and despair. This is me occasionally. My only advice is PRAY and PRAY and read that Bible with the thought "This Word is living and it will work in your heart" and "This is the true word of God". I literally always before I start reading the Bible think of all the wonderful creations of God.... 1. He is literally supplying breath to your lungs every second. So admit that you have no control over even the next minute of your life. 2. Remember that God in his mercy shines the Sun on all the earth everyday without fail. I always say As long as the Sun shines The Gospel is true... kinda helps me just not panic. 3. The incredible CREATOR of this Universe has been kind to want us to know him and has preserved his Word for thousands of years..and you now hold it. 4. No human mind no matter how kind they might be occasionally can come up with the Plan of Salvation. Previous Christians have been matryed for the truth. No one would give up their life for what they KNEW to be lies. It's the truth. Think of the goodness of it and allow that to calm your heart. Honestly I struggle with the same things daily and am VERY slowly building up defenses of truth against these thoughts. Sometimes they do overwhelm me BUT i trust and pray God searches amd changes my heart.

I feel the same, just right now I’m crying and I got so irritated. I said out loud if your real come in a dream!!! Clearly speak to me!!!! Shake me up!! Make me believe!! Let me have one of those experiences a solid one because for year and years Ive had trouble believing. I only used to pray with my grandmother when I was little. After she passed away and after all the abandonment I’ve gone through I stopped praying and believe. But years of hardship as a child made me reject the Idea of God that my parents provided me with. I admit to seek God in order to prove to my parents I was good, but idk If I ever really believed.... Also keep reading the Scriptures. I know sometimes the context and time sometimes feel far from you but the historical prrof of the Bible is plenty. Seek out the truth amd the proof. You will find it. Also the Bible when it talks about our nature its so spot on if we are being honest. The world is being controlled by the devil who blinds people to God's truth and fuels unbelief. Keep praying to God, i truly believe he is merciful.

I struggle with the main point of your discussion. "Read the word of God." How do we know that is the word of God? The Bible was written by people. We can't even play whisper down the lane accurately with 5 people in a room. How do I put my faith in a book written by people, edited by people, rewritten many times by people...but claims it's from God? Honest question.

God came down to earth is Jesus to show that he had to be in human conditions as well was it so we don’t have a reason to resent God? Because he went through it too? How does the Cross help us? I always hear stories of people being healed but if you’re young and ill, what can you do besides blindly believing in God for a long time. God please, I need your help. Hey adamp! Sorry you've been going through such a hard time. Hopefully I can speak some encouragement into your struggles. When we sin (choose our own selfish desires over God) it separates us from Him. When someone does something that is wrong, justice means there must be a consequence. The consequence, or what must be paid when we sin against God is death. In the Old Testament, to restore their broken relationship with God and have the debt of death paid, the Israelites sacrificed animals, grain, and other things God gave permission about. Those sacrifices were only temporary, imperfect, only covering the previous sins they committed, which is why they had to constantly sacrifice again after each sin. When Jesus came, He turn on human form to live a human life with all the same temptations, suffering, and pain we feel. He faced every challenge we face, and did not sin once. With no sin, He did not have to pay the price for sin (death). But He chose to, taking all our sins onto himself and allowing Himself to be crucified to pay the price for all our sins once and for all. Since He paid the price, now we can accept His sacrifice in Faith and our sins are forgiven without needing to sacrifice an animal or grain or anything. Paul had medical issues, but praised God through them, knowing that his earthly body is temporary and ultimately he would receive a new body in Heaven. What about when you *have* read the bible, and you were a church-going believer for the majority of your life, and you just stopped believing. Not for any one particular reason, you just no longer feel a presence of a higher power in your life. What about when you try desperately to believe, because you want that more than anything, and you just don't? Reading the bible doesn't help, praying doesn't help, trying to remind yourself how devout you were for decades, and how much peace it brought to your life doesn't help. What do you do then?
