Well.. I mean... when you're a doctor you get a lot of patients that come in with sports injuries. Sports injuries are fairly common so you tend to treat and learn a lot about these kinds of injuries. If you're a doctor that knows about achilles tears and how to operate on it, then you generally know a lot about it and chances are you learn it because you're also interested in sports behind it. Also. Anybody can enjoy sports. An accountant, construction worker, architect, doctors, and so on. Anybody can be interested in sports. I'm also pretty sure Professor said he knows the doctor, so I wouldn't be surprised if the doctor is into basketball or other sports.

Professor, you saved me from a major injury and surgery. I'm 50 and started having some minor ankle pain. Because I had seen your story, I went into the foot doctor long before I would have normally. She told me I had an ankle bone spur because of a tight Achilles, and that I would have needed surgery if I waited longer. Now I'm stretching the Achilles and icing it several times a day so I don't have to have surgery where they'd cut my Achilles in order to shave the bone spur. So thank you, and all love and respect to you!

The fact that you were injured for a year, but was still pumping out content like you were fine really shows the level of hard work and preparation it takes to be on top in social media. I'd recommend this video to anyone who's dealing with a popped achilles. Showing all the stages from initial injury, surgery, recovery, post-op complications (reaction to pain meds), dealing with the cast, everyday activities (shopping on crutches and in the electric cart), cast and stitches removal, dealing with the boot, all the stages of physical therapy and rehab, mentally trusting that ankle again, dealing with scar tissue, to finally getting back on the court. Great motivation and a realistic look at the grind that's ahead of someone who might be dealing with this injury along what's possible on the other side of that grind and recovery. Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your journey.

I had an ACL tear last July (2019) and the fact that you were really optimistic despite facing an achilles tear which in my opinion the two injuries are both devastating is making me change my attitude towards when I face times in my life when I am at the lowest point. My Knee was WAY more bruised than what you had but it was your energy that just kept me watching the entire video. I had surgery in January (2020) because of insurance and now 8 months post op and you just made me get back onto the grind even more for a healthier leg. (FYI: Yes, when people get leg injuries it is totally okay to either shower only once in 15 days because it is SCARY to even try in a cast or with the scar tissues exposed)
@felixfam04814 жыл бұрын
This honestly is a real inspiration to see, you came back from an injury that a lot of people say you can come back from fully, and you proved that you can, and im more than happy to see that you are playing again at 100%. It really doesn't matter that you held the footage back or didint say everything at the beginning, because you recovered from it and came clean at the end, and I have huge respect for you doing that

I know your struggles. I destroyed my knee: ACL, MCL, PCL, meniscus, and a few other minor ones. It is a long journey for sure and for me 3 years later I'm definitely not 100% and probably never will be. One thing you said really resonated with me, it's not a physical block that doesn't allow you to do something after an injury. It's definitely the mental block. Learn to get past the mental blocks of a bad injury and you can do anything you set your mind to.
