One of my favourite things about this game is how you can get it to slowly ramp up. Like on day one you can outwalk zombies and don't have to worry that much about disease and such, but two-three weeks later and you have to run from the zombies and carefully manage what you've built up and slowly but surely you'll be driven out of home after home until they finally get you.
