amazing, just I don t understand something. How could you do this alone. according to news from April 2023. the nepali government banned the solo trekking and only with guide you can go which is quite expensive. I also want to go but their price is too high.

Hi Jozsef, thanks! When I visited (in April 2024), the law wasn’t being enforced despite the announcement. I hiked to the national park entrance to check personally, and found out they didn’t require a guide. I was ready to hire one if necessary. I also hiked in the Annapurna region, and the situation was the same. This might change in the future, so it's worth checking if the law is being enforced when you visit.

This Law is not applicable in Everest region as the local government claims there is better trail infrastructure in this route, so you wont need someone to show the way unless in peak winter season.

I did this is 2004 as part of an organised trek. Nepal is such a magnificent county as are its people. It changed my life completely which gave me a new perspective on how I see the world. Go for it! and don't worry much, if you want to tackle the EBC its not a big deal, if you want to go for the "three passes" try to follow other fellow trekkers and their guide on the glaciers and during crossing the passes and you'll be fine.
