I hiked the highest mountain in Ukraine *almost died*

I hiked Goverla, Ukraine's highest mountain with a height of 2061 meters on Day 2 of my social media detox challenge, . It was my first ever mountain hike and it proved to be challenging cos the weather became drastically worse as I approached the peak of the mountain. What I initially planned out to be a wonderful adventure became a fight for survival because after reaching the peak, while I was descending in the heavy rain, I began to fall and slide through the slopes. I was cold and exhausted and at some point I thought I wouldn't make it to the foot of the mountain.
This was a near-death moment, but thanks to God and the fact I was fortunate to meet 3 hikers along the slopes who helped me down, carrying my bags and helping me walk through the slippery slopes, it didn't turn out to be a tragic experience.
Please do not go hiking alone and try to be mindful and watchful of the weather while hiking. No adventure is worth a human's life.
