I’ve been locked up at home for the last month and took some online language lessons in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Italian, and pretended to be a beginner, then I started speaking perfect Mandarin and shocked the teachers! I love taking online lessons and they’re a great way to socialize in these difficult times!

我是意大利人，几年前在广东省就业、留学，大学时通常和其他外国同学讲汉语，甚至跟一位俄罗斯同学一直都用粤语沟通。凭我个人经验来说，如果选择在某个国家长期发展，学本地语言就很重要。当然，每个人的掌握程度不一样而已，也得看自己是不是靠和当地人合作谋生。反正，假如半辈子呆在某个国家，完全不会说当地语言就很不自然，至少我是这么感觉。
