They were better all around, people are just used to 2k. The complaints about live 18 & 19 were literally how they walked like robots during timeouts. Nobody couldn't say anything about the gameplay, because they never gave it a full chance. Live has better gameplay, it's more balanced, and it doesn't get boring. The only issue live has, is the amount of content compared to 2k. They have nothing compared to 2k.

Are you playing on Sega for the first couple games? 95 on snes had ratings. Dan Majerle and Gerald Wilkins were tied for the best 3 shooters at 94 rating and I believe Mark Price was second with 93 while Reggie might have have been 92 or 91. But thats just me pulling from my memories from long ago.

All fine and dandy, but dude, it owuld've been so much more worth it if you showed the PC/PS1 versions of the earliest Live games rather than the SNES/Gnesis versions. They're not bad versions by any means, but come on, by Live 96 the series switched into 3D. And good lord, how buggy is the emulation on the N64 for Live 99.
