I hooked a BIG Fish! We head out to go saltwater fishing at a brand new saltwater creek with a mission - try to catch something big, and if we're lucky, eat whatever I catch. I am still very new to fishing the low country marsh areas for redfish, flounder, trout, etc. Today we're going to try to figure it out a bit more. I did not expect for this to happen..
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 484,600 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

I love that after you catch a trout you get so happy that the sky looks different and more beautiful… which is just a perfect reflection of how happy you feel… I’m the same way when fishing so I totally get it.

I highly suggest putting some sort of keel gaurd on your kayak! Most people use Kydex or Gator slip, it takes just a few minutes, it will protect it from sliding. If you don’t already have a set of wheels, I highly recommend using a Railblaza C-Tug. You can break it apart and store it in your hatch, but I throw mine in the back of the kayak.

What’s up first state, I would recommend, a good trick to save you some trouble of getting slime on your hands and avoid hurting the fish is when you catch a speck dunk your hands in the water before you touch him God bless man

I like to stomp my ramen packets and make an eggdrop soup. Crunch them up and boil the noodles and water with the packet and drops some eggs in at the boil and mix it in. makes a good fast warm soup! Good choice if you have an upset stomach and still have an appetite.

That’s a great spot you’re fishing at, I fish around that area too 😂 I would suggest if you can get your hands on some mud minnows or smaller finger mullets you can do so work in that area. Lots of reds, flounder, and trout in that area, best of luck when you are in Florida and lines tight my good sir.

So if you are in florida it can depend on where you are but Mirrodine works wonders. I have luck with the fatter versions over the long and skinny and going with the black/silver/orange belly, the copper, and the blue colors. jerk once, twice, three times, vary up the retrieve with different amount of jerks and let it rest in between. I've caught over 50 trout in an hour on those things. If you are near any bridges or pilings picking up some fiddlers can net you some sheepshead if you use a smaller jig to let them float down and set the hook hard. East coast a lot of my pompano and black drum in the surf come near shore and right behind where the waves break on shrimp and sand fleas. If you got a spare rod letting a pinfish, croaker, or mullet run loose without a float or weight can hook you into some crazy huge fish. East coast mosquito lagoon can't be beat, and haulover canal holds monsters but you gotta be in a boat if you don't want or compete with everyone for a spot or lose a lot of gear as its snaggy. Its been cold lately so snook in the canal have been sparce if even around. You can catch small pinfish and croakers easily with some peeled tiny bits of shrimp! It may be hard to hit the beaches due to recent hurricanes but if east coast playalinda beach is a federal beach with very few tourists and good fishing just do not go to lot 13. You do not want to go there unless you want to go blind, its one of the few uhh, clothes free beaches in the country and most folks who frequent it are over 65. Lots 7-9 can be good with close to shore deep cuts and rips that hold fish although its best to check the surf each parking lot to find structure. If you do hit that area make sure to pick up the free permit for fishing the federal reserve at one of the kiosks or welcoming center. Game wardens are out in force in that area.
