Also just read this which makes me doubt it....It says something that several US states have banned betting on Friday’s fight between boxing’s Mike Tyson and attention’s Jake Paul. You cannot place a bet in New York, for example, or a wager in Colorado, where gaming commissioners are treating the event as something akin to an exhibition.

But traditionally, exhibition matches don't count on a fighters career record. In my eyes, the only thing that really matters here is that Tyson vs Paul is a sanctioned fight that goes on the fighters records. If you've seen Mikes history you'll know for a fact (unless you're gen z or gen alpha) that Jake does not deserve a win or draw on that list. I doubt Mike thinks he does too. Let's watch the fight and see. I bet Tyson wins inside 2 rounds. What's your bet?

I hope Tyson wins but I think there is every chance that this could be a very sad spectacle. Tyson's last fight at 38yo was a very sad sight when he couldn't get off his stool after 4-5 rounds. In the 20 years since then, Tyson hasn't exactly been looking after himself away from the ring in terms of his lifestyle. Any competent heavyweight boxer in his 20's or 30's will easily despatch a 58yo Mike Tyson. But is Jake Paul a competent heavyweight boxer? I don't know. I've no idea if Jake Paul is any good or not but if he's even at the level of "decent amateur" he'll likely beat Tyson. Two things in Tyson's favour 1. Punching power, If he can get off a few body shots, has Jake Paul ever been hit that hard before? Will he fancy it after a few hits? 2. Boxing skills & knowledge. Tyson knows the sport and knows the art of boxing. He could tie Jake Paul in knots and easily outscore him and win on points if his stamina can hold out for 8 x 2 minute rounds

The gulf in class, weight and experience is HUGE. Paul will not have experienced anything like he is going to, up close and in his face. Mike will not be concerned about what Paul can dish out, and I think this will be a fight, with little boxing, with Mike winning. His age related decline will be less of an issue in a fight, than a boxing match. Paul is not going to be allowed to box at any range.
