absolutely adored this story, so glad you enjoyed it too! i really appreciated the author acknowledging that they were only writing about a specific trans experience and that it was bound to vary in each individual. they worked as fujimoto's (author of chainsaw man) assistant back when he was doing fire punch and i wonder if that was a source of inspiration since the story has a trans man in it. are you familiar with oshimi shizuo? i think you'd deeply enjoy welcome back alice, one of the main characters is transfem and the author seems to be a closeted trans woman.

Fun fact, the mangaka was a past assistant of Fujimoto, the chainsaw man mangaka. Its speculated their time working together is why Fujimoto likes to include trans rep in a few of his works.

I have this Manga on my shelve. This Manga definitely hits home. Not enough people have read this Manga which I think is unfortunate . I'm so happy and pleasantly surprised this Manga exists. Finding representation, hell even trying to find good trans representation in media is hard to come by. And this Manga was a delight to read. I felt seen and heard. I'm trans as well. I'm a transgender man ftm. To feel like you can see yourself in the media you like is honestly cathartic in a way. I can't explain it well.
