I think that small tree might have been an autumn olive tree - hard to see positive identifiers, but the leaves looked like the right shape and seemed the right color green with silvery undersides. Would make sense to see squirrels on them, too.

@@KendallGray1 Btw, they taste great when fully ripe; bitter as all get out when not - they suck all of the saliva out of your mouth, like a persimmon. The red berries are about the size of your pinky fingernail and have silver speckles all over them. They have a sizeable seed that you can either spit out or chew up. Really tasty though! My wife and I have made jam out of them. They also are an invasive species, so feel free to eat up if you are sure of the identification; it stops birds and squirrels from spreading them around! lol
