You need to get some of those rear wheel well liners they make a big difference and they also protect the inside of bare wheel well from getting rock chips and rusting potentially

So you’re saying that on an 09 F150 Lariat, with no factory crash bars, I should have no problem with 35x12.5r20’s when I install my 4” lift. Really like the look of your 150!
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors11 ай бұрын
Thanks! I can only speak to the set up on my 2018, as I know it's different from the 09. I am pleased that I only needed 2.5" of level to fit that size.

I have the same truck and just had installed Fox 2.0 2" leveling front coil overs and Icon Delta joint UCA's and now it has a bit of squat in the back, this should cure that I hope. Also, I'm now wanting to go to a larger tire like yours, can you please tell me what your offset is on your wheels? Thanks for a great video...2 thumbs up!
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! These Ford factory Raptor wheels are 17"x8.5" with a 34mm offset. I still have the factory UCAs, and they do not come close. You may want to confirm that will work. with your Icons.

Great video! I have the same truck. I noticed a little rougher ride when I installed the 2.5 inch level kit. Did you notice a rougher ride after you installing the rear blocks? Or maybe the angle helped?
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Honestly, I noticed no difference in ride quality when installing either lift. Maybe I got lucky?

Did the steering characteristics change? Do you think theres reason for front end alignment after this?
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors3 ай бұрын
With the rear lift, I did not need an alignment. I definitely got one when I had the front leveling kit installed. I have not had any noticeable steering changes with this setup.

Are there torge specs on those ubolts
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes, and it's best to do it in steps, as the new ubolts tend to stretch a bit. The end spec is 120 ft/lbs, so start with 30, then 60, then 90 before hitting 120. I hope that makes sense.
@baljeetseggzy77465 ай бұрын
Just did this to my 2018 f150. Did you use the blue or the red thread locker and is it necessary?
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Blue for sure. Is it necessary? Probably better than finding out otherwise. 😆
@baljeetseggzy77465 ай бұрын
@@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors the instructions don’t say to use thread locker that’s why I ask. And you’re supposed to check the torque at 100 miles and 500 and 1000 so wouldn’t your think it’s pointless since it’s gonna break the bond? Probably will take the tires off this weekend and add some of my orange thread locker (stronger then blue but removable) just to be safe

Did you install these on stock rear struts? Or did you have to get upgraded ones to run the block?
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's currently installed on the stock struts. They still had some life left in them, though, when it's time to change them I will be installing upgraded, longer shocks.

@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes, and in fact, it's best to do it in steps, as the new ubolts tend to stretch a bit. The end spec is 120 ft/lbs, so start with 30, then 60, then 90 before hitting 120. I hope that makes sense.

How did you do the two tone look with the grey?
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I've always liked the look of the lower stripe from the factory, but could not find a truck that had that along with my other wants, so I had a local vinyl shop install the lower stripe. I'm very pleased with it, and it's held up well for almost 2 years now.

Hey Bro, Do have need alignment after installing rear lift blocks ?
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
While I did get an alignment with my front level lift, I did not feel the need to do so with the rear lift blocks. I was careful to line up the hardware with where it sat before, and I have not noticed any unusual wear from this install.

@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
No, mine has the max tow package with the 3:73 gears, and I'm pleased with the setup. Gas mileage and performance were only slightly altered with the larger tires, so I'll keep it as-is. If I were to go bigger, I'd definitely consider re-gearing.

I’m going to install a 1 inch block onto my rear Tacoma because it’s sagging so much. Will this be a problem in the long run? I’m not doing any off-roading . Just street
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I would look into the reason your truck is sagging to begin with - may be worn out shocks or springs. I installed mine to compensate for sag while towing, but am confident my suspension is solid.

why don't you color-match the bumpers?? omg drives me crazy that you guys have all these different colors and finishes on the truck fuuuuuuck. chrome bumpers, black wheels, offroad tires, bunch of chrome trim and 2-tone color, omg shit's all over the place.

I love that you're so passionate about design aesthetic. I'm a bit more old school in my preferences, so I don't feel the need to be all matchy-matchy across the whole truck. I like the pops of chrome. I like that the wheels and lower stripe are the same color. I definitely like my offroad tires since I actually need to go off the beaten path. I certainly appreciate vehicles that are set up how you've described. Thanks for stopping by!
