Your dad is my age, but he reminds me of my Hawaiian (former Marine from Palolo) dad, especially the skit when he was teaching you how to drive stick...'no burn da clutch'! . Had to say that Dad did an awesome job on his story and how he became the stand up man he is today ~ mahalo to you both for sharing ~ keep up the great podcasts, Tumua! 🤙

If I recall that Championship game in 1975 was played for the first time in Aloha Stadium! Wow, memories your Dad’s bringing up. I graduated from Kamehameha, my husband from Kaiser ‘81. All my cousins graduated from Waianae, Blossom and Charles Conb-Adams, DeMaine and Quentin Flores. This was a great one. Talking story about the good old days.

You guys are an awesome example of a father & son relationship. I don’t know what’s this stereotype in Waianae is about. I used to live there & I never had any problem with the people. Waianae people are respectful if you are respectful. They are kind if you are kind. That goes everywhere. Respect begets respect. Just remember that if you’re there & you’re not native or local, you gotta know your place especially if you’re just visiting. Respect goes along way not only in Waianae but everywhere. Respect the people, respect the island, show Aloha & you will receive Aloha.🤙🏽

Wow! Much respect to your Dad for sharing his journey, from the highest high’s to rock bottom. I remember your Uncle Mark playing for my Dallas Cowboys, I’m a life long Cowboys fan & I remember Mark getting us to the Super Bowl 3x’s with Troy Aikmen. I’m born & raised in Hawaii, I cried when Mark passed away, absolutely sad. Loved hearing your Dad talking about all the high school football games in the old termite stadium, then playing in Aloha Stadium, I grad McKinley High, so we were scared of Waianae High when we had to play them, we always got buss up.😂Mahalo for sharing Tumia, you so funny😂 crack me up. I’m sure Your Dad is proud of you & your accomplishments. Ask your Dad if he go’s to New Hope Oahu church on Nimitz Hwy, my cousin is the Pastor there, John Tilton. Mahalo bradah, Congrats! on your expecting your 1st child. Like your dad said, be present for your child, not just the provider, it will be tuff as you travel for shows, so you better get plany sleep now, cause you’ll never sleep again😂 nah nah joke! Aloha Bradah 🤙

Thank you for sharing your testimony Tamua , your last shout out for people to seek salvation in Jesus 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
