This pains me because I had this same idea a year ago but never had the time or money or supplies to do it. Sadly I still don’t, but I do have ways to improve it. You could use a single motor in the middle and spin it with a paddle on the end to move the pins. You could also add roller/sliders on the sides (like a cnc machine) and have dual motors powering that and a single motor on the point of connection to move the pins. Hopefully I can work on my own version in the future. Thanks for beating me to it and giving me more inspiration!

Little tip from my work when you are doing this. Don't insert them one at a time. Grab a bunch and move them as a pack over the surface while holdem them only lightly. That generally goes faster.
@tiagotiagot

Another approach for the "satisfying mode" would be to setup a few wheels on a spirograph/orrery-style mechanism, so they move around on various complex epicycles (just be sure it's geared such that the arms never collide); you can even add some pistons driven by gears to change the height of wheels by some amount that doesn't repeat at the same point by many turns.

I REALLY want this masterpiece, like you could use it for geography, with the pyramids of Giza, you put the build in and raise it, that'd be sooooo cool. Or like an Aztec pyramid or even 3d models (that are small). You can do so many things with this fun machine, this machine would be unlimited amounts of fun to play with. Just think of it, you could be sitting for HOURS on end just putting builds through this machine watching it pop up as if it were magic!

Wait those bricks are meant for a conveyor belt? I've got like five or so as a retractable bridge in a treehouse MOC of mine . . . (It works by having an axle pin under it, and when you push it, it goes forward, pushing the bridge up. It's cool)
