I’m from Nima , born and raised , and I can bet it’s the safest slum in the entire Accra . Despite its inadequate infrastructure, over population and unemployment. Nima is home to diverse population with the strong presence of Muslims, Christians and traditional believers coexisting together.. I could go on and on. Opss I almost forgot the affordable street food. Amazing 😘. The most beautiful girls are from Nima ❤.

I lived there for 2 years with my Auntie who had the first Maternity Home in Nima. The love that they showed us was amazing. Sometimes they even didn't want us to pay for any food we bought on the street if they realise we were related to her.

I'm from Nima and I've travelled to many places in the world. Compared to some dangerous places in the world there's no such dangers in Ghana. But places like Nima, Ashaiman, Madina and most of the Zongos and some gheto areas has some hard and tough people who are ever ready to take risks or face dangers anyhow. Some robbers, drug dealers, street fighters who learns or portrays to be as dangerous as in other parts of the world, like in the Americas - New York, Chicago, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Jamaican style - This is how Nima is stereotype as dangerous hood. Cos back in the days like in the 80s, 90s to the New Millenium Nima was with the real Gs who acts and portrays as Super heroes. Some in gangs and acting violently as seen in movies eg: of those was the Scarface "Tony Montana" , Jet Li, Jackie Chan, New Jack City, The Shottas so on and so forth. But things has been calm these days due to some understandings and focusing more on the real ethics of Islamic religion practices 🙏🏾 Bless you all

I attended middle school in Kokomlemle, and honestly, the people of Nima are the best. The rule in Nima is simple: don't mess with me, and I won't mess with you. Don't forget the best street food in Accra are all located in Nima

It's all lies. I was born in Nima. My late grandfather's home is still there there and we return there annually for the family reunions. Nima is the one place that I have seen Muslims and Christians coexist together peacefully even celebrating public holidays together be it an Islamic, Christian or circular holiday.
