I.IX. Sidechaining III

This is the third part of the Sidechaining series.
This time i´m using the MUtility (free vst) from MeldaProduction,
to Volume Automate via Midi CC#1. Comprende ? Nah ?

Cool ! You can offset it with a midi modifier in the midi send. For me usually -20ms works best.

Sometimes if you have plugins in the chain that cause latency, your automations after that plugins can go out of time :)

As an ableton user i can’t understand how you can make music like analog in fkin cubase.. makes everything so much more complicated than it should be

I did "Analog" it in Live, Cubase and Bitwig. I'm jumping between DAWs just to keep me interested and not fall into the same production pattern over and over again. Every DAW has its strengths and flaws. I try to concentrate on the strengths. When your brain clicks with Live then great.

@@Misanthrop_TV yea im not saying it's bad i'm more astonished :Djust by seeing you adding an automation lane :DD because analog is very sound design-y with lots of automations. I guess if i was recording instruments i would like cubase more :D anyways like the videos and love the music :)

what would you say the strengths of cubase are? what part of the process do you like it for?

🤣.. Well you assume its automated. Most of the main synths are recorded sessions which edited then into context. I def know what you mean by automation in cubase, it's different but you can also be very quick when you know the workarounds. Pressing "write" then touch a knob and you have the same behaviour like in live when you press "A" which always shows the last knob you touched. As I said it has to click between you and the daw.

I think the strengths of cubase are precision, reliability and countless more. I have to admit I'm working in cubase since the Atari days.
