Looking forward to the full interview! By the way, notation on the screen would be incredibly helpful - at least for the main patterns.

Ben! The man. At this same time him and I used to talk on instant messages, and I’d ask him random questions and such and he was so nice to answer them. He was also making the first Tigran record and I remember him saying he’s looking forward to watching tigrans career cus he was so great even at 17 playing crazy odd time signatures so well it was even very hard to Ari Hoenig, but he said that nailed them all in the end. I miss those days for sure it was a very fun time and a lot of great people that I knew were going to blow up we’re doing just that. I knew ben and all of kneebody were so very special and I was so lucky to have watched them All in the process. All the eastman guys at the time were all amazing, ted poor, kneebody, Otis McDonald, JerseyBand, if ya don’t know JerseyBand they would be so much more fit for right now actually In time instead of 15-20 years ago. Great stuff nate 80/20. Also kneebodys first drummer was also fabulous as well, don’t sleep on that cat either.

Oh by the way you should get Shane endsley to come over and play some drums with you he’s a sick drummer, he might not say it but he is.

Hey Nate Ive been watching you a few years ans to be dead honest, I think some of your (evident, If I may say) frustrations are more technical than musical. Im under the impression that if you strengthened your wrists, you'd have a smoother flow around the kit

@8020drummer I dont have any links off the top of my head but I think Elitch is on the money on most of this stuff, but I still think there's a lot of minor intricacies that get left out that can help fill the gap for certain players, including yourself. I get the impression that you're dragging and pulling the stick around sometimes and that it might be impeding fluidity for you. You might want to practice with your fingers applying grip pressure to the stick and then isolating wrist movement, making sure that the fingers/hand follow a smooth path along with the stick. Not tryna pick on you either, I just think you could benefit big time from certain technical adjustments

@@8020drummer I'd even be happy to upload before and afters of myself to show how just how purely building strength opened me up musically (or probably just facilitated a vocabulary that was already there)
