As the hair gets more length, it isn't as easy to do yourself. It is best to get a professional to process hair as it grows. I had it in the 80's then I let it grow out. Got it back 2015 & I am very pleased with my wave nouveau. I go to a stylist though to have retouch done.

Hi do you have to always put the rollers to have curls? Like if you wash your hair does it stay curly or do you have to use rollers again?

The rollers set gives the hair the curl form i.e after applying the curl booster and the rollers. When you wash your hair after a week or two weeks i.e after getting your jheri curl done. You don’t need to use any rollers to get the curls again, except your hair is due for another retouch i.e after 2-3months. I hope you understand.

No. You NEVER put rollers in your hair after the curl. After you wash your hair,you use activator to get the curls back. It took about 4 days of activator to get the curls poppin again. That's the joke about jheri curls, that it takes so much activator that your hair drips everywhere. I'm 4c for years and sometimes I think about revisiting the jheri curl. I never feel my hair looks good enough to go anywhere. I have average 4c hair.

The hair wax didn’t damage my jheri curl because I use it for only my edges and not directly on my hair. I use jack-5ive curl activator. It helps define my curls and it hasn’t damaged my hair. I don’t mix it with anything. I apply water on my hair and then curl activator. • I hope you understand.

Except again most of them are mixing products and washing multiple times a week and I’m guessing that’s why their hair is breaking off? I’m not really sure. I had a curl in the 80s and we only used curl products and washed at touch ups or no more than every 2 weeks. Just trying to figure out my new regimen is all. After 3months, you’ll notice some changes on your hair. Your hair will begin to transition back to your natural hair.

This is a curly perm. Its chemicals like a relaxer or texturizer so you will get new growth coming in that's your natural hair but to get rid of all the permed hair, you'll need to cut it as your hair grows longer or big chop all of the permed hair. Chemically treated hair does not turn back into natural hair. It has to be cut out.

Your hair will be changed forever. Only your new growth will be your natural hair. When it grows out in about 3 or 4 months you will need to have your roots fone to match the previous curly process. The roots will be relaxed as before then the entire hair rolled again on rods.

After using the relaxer and other products from the jheri curl kit on hair, after 2-3months, you’ll notice undergrowth i.e new hair growth from the root of your hair, that’s your natural hair coming out again and the one that has already been relaxed will begin to transition back to your natural hair gradually not fully. But you’ll notice the difference between the new hair growth and the jheri curl hair after 2-3months. I hope you understand.
