I’m not a car guy, but I noticed a Monogram ‘L’ill Coffin’ in there and I built that model when I was about 16yo. I am now 71 so that is how old that kit is. I remember I made a slot car out of it back when the big tracks were around here in Australia, and if I remember correctly, I trashed it in the first race. Good times, and a great collection Andy.

Those will make someone's day! I started out with cars (in the 60's) before getting into military kits. My car kits were so old they didn't have chrome parts OR black vinyl tires. This is an awesome collection for sure.

How Awesome. Building models is exciting. My first model at 9 years old, a Sherman Tank. It came out like a gigantic wax blob, i put way to much testors gel glue on it. My dad made a huge deal when testors released liquid glue. He came unglued.

I saw an original issue AMT ‘59 Buick and the A100 Touch Tone Terror but most of the kits you’ve shown are 1980s and later including all the Jo-Hans. Still desirable pieces though. I’m most worried though about the numbers, if that’s 3000 kits I’m scared to know just how many I must currently own… 😂

That is an amazing stash of kits!! We lost a great hobby shop in Sebastian, FL recently and that shop and the owner will be greatly missed. Riverside Hobbies was a third of your store, Andy but he had many different kits that went from floor to ceiling and lots of supplies too! It was so much better than Hobby Lobby but sadly the owner passed away and his wife retired and with no one else to run the place, it's gone. Now, I think I might have to book a trip out west to find a good hobby shop and you could use the business!!

Good decision NOT to sell these through your online store. Not only would it be a hassle to pick the order, but verifying each kit is complete and up to the quality you sell at AndysHHQ would take a lot of time and cost a lot of money. Better to sell them in person where the buyer can inspect the kit for themselves. I recently purchased some kits from a dubious online store located in Utah where the retailer had obviously purchased the kits from someone's collection and many parts were missing. It would have been OK if they were listed as 'used' or such, but no indication. Contacted the owner to let them know and never heard a word back about it. 'Fool me once'... Good luck with the collection. Glad to see so many kits available to the model community again. 👍

I live in Baltimore and in 1997 i was given a job to clean out a old abandoned Shell station which had been abandoned for 53 years, i found 7 boxes of Hot Wheels car never opened along with vintage signs and i kept it all. I have not sold any of it yet but this summer i will be selling it all.

Hi Andy, my dad owned a 69 Pontiac Grand Prix that he loved. When I was 5, we bought a model of that, can’t remember maker. Do you have one and if so, is it for sale? My dad passed and this is very nostalgic for me. I have been looking for this plastic kit for about 20+ years but cannot find it, and would prefer plastic over a pre-built metal version (that is rare but available)!
