Bridget, this was written by Bill and Gloria Gaither. They wrote this (music and lyrics) to start their appearances with because the felt they needed something cheerful and upbeat to start out with because people were coming after hearing all the news, having a bad day at work, getting caught in traffic... If you can, I recommend you get a hold of their video 'Because He Lives' It is a compilation of their songs and performances, homecoming, and interviews with them by Mark Lowry.
