Better than most MOVIE musicals, ON STAGE musicals are pretty darn good! I mean, WICKED, WAITRESS, SIX, BEETLEJUICE, MEAN GIRLS, HEATHERS etc. Ugh those are some good musicals🥰 I know these mostly made after movies but that’s not the point, the point is stage musicals vs movie musicals and this isn’t meant to be a lecture I just wanted to explain how movie musicals are typically less authentic and take themselves so seriously for no reason. Edit: adding some more of my fav musicals and explaining a bit more.
