Kyunki unke time mein Enigneer aur Doctor well paid the.. aur Zyada respected the. I mean abhi bhi ye do Profession respectable hai, lekin itna competition hai ki Bacha apni Puri zor laga de lekin Udher jagah hi nhi milti. Plus Technology itni advance ho rhi hai ki They fear ki hum Zindagi ki iss race mein bahar na ho jaaye. Warna Humare Dada, dadi ke time mein Science toh utna develop nhi hua tha ki unhe Unke maa Baap force kare ki Science hi le. Humare Mummy Papa ke time se hi Technology Suddenly Advanced ho gyi isliye Humare Dada Dadi ne Humare maa Baap ko Force kiya ki Science le..( mere Mummy ne Bhi Meri Nani ke pressure mein aake Computer Science li aur mere Papa ne mere Dadi ke pressure mein aake Engineering ki lekin fir MBA hi karna para, even mujhe kitni mushkil se Mummy Papa se permission mili ki mein Commerce paru) So I think This might be the reason for their Obsession for Engineering or Doctor. There might be other reasons too ki log kya khaenge agar Science stream nhi li, nhi toh in Special cases Legacy Chali aa rahi ki Doctor ya Engineering hai toh tumhe bhi Doctor ya Engineering hi karni paregi. The problem is Agar in India koyi Plumber ya chaprasi ka kaam karta hai toh respect aur paisa kuch nhi milta Wahi agar ye kaam tum USA, UK, RUSSIA mein kar rhe ho tumhe wahi respect aur Paisa milega Jo ek President tak ko milti hai....
