Put the color on dry hair and keep it on about 5 minutes longer than it says to. I use that color depositing brand often.

I use overtone brand on my dark hair and it usually does a good job at depositing color. They have a specific red for brown hair.

it's not too bad Jess the color...you have to wait for it to rest sometimes to see after a few days...in daylight it's different. Now, you have to move on to the haircut🙂😉😘

Jess, you should try Overtone - it is a color depositing conditioner. 💚💚 All of the colored lights look awesome, and the decorations turned out great! Love all of the scattered pumpkins. 😊😊 Thank you for sharing your family - watching your videos definitely make my days. 🥰🥰

In the UK colour is always applied to dry hair, never wet hair. Your hair has grown so much. I prefer your hair really dark. Your children are beautiful 😍

That's what I miss with my eldest son on Halloween but my youngest has autism and doesn't like costumes and doesn't understand it so I just buy him Halloween PJ's x

My boys are teenagers and too old for trick-or-treating, but I miss them being little during Halloween. In my Facebook memories today there were some photos of them dressed up in some of their costumes and they looked so cute. Those mangos.....now I know that they are called king mangos, thank you! Our oldest son bought two at the store yesterday and they are huge like the ones you have. They are so good! Love and hugs from Norway!

I have dark hair like you and have used that brand in the purple. I always get in the shower and prewash my hair, then ring out the water before starting to apply the color then leave it on for twice the amount of time. After 2 applications, the color payoff is great! Always wash in cooler water to keep color more vibrant especially with reds and purples.

I just use spray in color for Halloween. Get two or three cans just in case. I don’t like how it feels, so I prefer to use it on hair that’s not touching my face or that is at least partway put up. You can get it cheap at Walmart, and it washes out in one wash. Do it outside because the fumes are intense, and it can also rub off on clothing, but it’s still better than a bad wig.

I use that color and brand all the time. The trick for a real color deposit is to apply to dry hair. Open the direction on the inside of the label and it will tell you how to apply to dry hair. It will deposit that deep red if you use like normal hair color.

, dearest Spomer family,😮 sorry it's been a long time since I last messaged you all but I have been into the hospital & had 2 of many surgeries, on my very poorly hemmoroids, & I still await more surgeries on my eyes to save my sight as I have less than 13%of my eyesight left now & I need silicone lenses & cataracts removed on both my eyes , but I am upset on on how much I have missed you all, & I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone & we are back to spooky season Halloween, & I loved all your decorations, & wow Austin the lights look amazing 👏 good job , also how much that all the children have grown up with time just flying by so quickly, hope your weather is being kind to you in Utah USA,over here in the UK 🇬🇧 it's been really bad with storm after storm & so much thunder & lighting, now we are heading into a polor vortex with temperatures close to freezing 🥶 already, how I dread the long cold dark nights 🌙 & early mornings , I have loved watching your vlog & enjoying how you all enjoyed your swim day 💙, & poor maple 🍁 the dogster was just dying to get a peace of the action & looked like she wanted some fuss but missed out a little on this vlog ,hope you all stay safe & warm ,& keep looking really healthy, god bless you all ,all of my love & best wishes to you all from Linda Dunn from Newport Shropshire UK xxx ❤😊

I live at the far north of Utah and we've been in the 75-85 degrees fahrenheit. Austin and Jess are farther south than me, a few counties over and their temperature is warmer.

I use brad Mondo's hair colors. I lean towards the purple and blue colors. I agree with another comment. Put the color on dry hair. I also leave it on a few minutes longer. I love how yours turned out.

I used to do a red glaze in my hair and the beautician told me to get this stuff from Chi that is red that would keep the color up. It might would work. I’ll try to find it and message you on IG. You have to be careful. It will stain.

Jess, next time, do not wash your hair before you put on the hair dye. I love what you and everyone did to house. All those Halloween decorations were spot on. It was my mom's favorite time of year. Where I live now I never get any trick or treaters. Thank you Jess for sharing and thank you Austin for that perfect ending. You know what I'm talking about. Lol

Your title says you’re in your hair but I don’t see it ruined. It’s pretty the way it is I think definitely if you did it on dry hair. It would show more because it can color😊 deposit better.
