Absolutley agree with the neck comment. I have a 1983 JV telecaster - rosewood neck and HEAVY ash body - and a 1990ish Fernandez Telecaster Cutosm (bound body) with maple neck. Both were nice and sounded good. I prefer rosewood so swapped necks to bodies as could not abide the heavy ash body anymore. Two completely different (and better guitars) came out of it!

Diese Befestigung des Trem mit nur zwei Schrauben... Ich hab vor Jahren mal auf einem Flohmarkt eine Squier-Strat erstanden, die hatte auch nur zwei von sechs Schrauben im Trem. Nachdem ich die Gitarre eine Weile ausprobiert hatte fiel mir auf, dass das Trem doch recht wackelig sitzt. Also hab ich es abgeschraubt, und dann sah man auch sofort die Misere: Die beiden Schraubenlöcher waren in Längsrichtung der Gitarre oval aufgebogen und die Schrauben wackelten fröhlich in den Löchern. Letzlich zwar keine grosse Sache, ich habe die kaputten Löcher aufgebohrt, Hartholzdübel eingesetzt und neue Löcher gebohrt. Das Trem dann mit 6 Schrauben befestigt, seitdem hält es. Dauerhaft stabil scheint mir die Befestigung mit nur zwei Schrauben nicht zu sein. Wie immer super gespielt!

So you bought a body that happen to come with a neck and pick-ups. joking, sounds great, I always think of Hyrum Bullock or when Allan Holdsworth played this type of strat configuration. Look into Fender Boxer series, MIJ. Cheers

Tolle Gitarre! Die Farbe ist sehr lecker. Aber was ich mich gefragt habe, was für ein Plektrum hast Du zwischen den Fingern? Dies wäre womöglich die effektivste und günstigste Soundverbesserung, die wir Normal-User uns gönnen könnten. Danke

Tapered tremolo blocks are to allow more travel on the vibrato before it bottoms out. I love you brother but from a physics standpoint the material and mass of a sustain block don’t alter tone but I only speak from what I know in engineering there could be a variable I haven’t considered.

Since the floating tremolo system resonates with the string vibration, the material and mass of the block should certainly influence the resonance frequencies and thus the sound.

I don't know anything about physics.So you might be right. But I hear the difference in sound after changing just the block. Peace.

@ you speculate. Two things , one if what you say is true the impact is negligible and two the vibration of the string is a transverse wave any signal attenuated to the block or body is longitudinal so it would even register.
