Hey Kristina. I was thinking about the Sunday Ryley Ufo oil; since I've managed to completely clear my face of breakouts while changing nothing else but my skincare: I still apply makeup daily, I'm still overweight [though trying to manage that], no new medications. UFO oil has a great percentage of salicylic acid, 1.5%, which I'm lusting after, but finding it hard to find elsewhere at a low price point in a lightweight vehicle. I started my treatment journey with 1% bha during the day, only on the t-zone; and that worked great (along with 2.5% bpo at night, and adapalene on alternate days). But I only have it in lotion form, and most of my sunscreens are heavy for my skin type, so I can't add serums and lotions underneath them. So, I slowly worked up to a full face of 2% BHA liquids during the day, everyday. I'm using the Peach Slices 2%, and its more gentle imho than the Paulas Choice 2% in the grey bottle; but it's still borderline too much, irritation-wise, in my regimen. I'd like to scale back to 1%-1.5% during the day. The only liquid or close to liquid product I have with a low % of BHA is the Glow Recipe BHA PHA toner (which doesn't disclose the percentage of BHA) and the La Roche Posay Efflaclar Clarifying solution, but that one is only 0.5% BHA and has an water+alcohol base, which I dislike. I wouldn't be happy paying UFO oil prices, so SR UFO is out of the question. Everything seems to be 2%! I might try one more 2% solution, to see if it can get gentler than the peach slices. The ordinary has a BHA suspended in squalane, that supposedly releases the bha slowly to avoid irritation.. Not excited about the oil vehicle but well see. Just wanted to share that! One alternative that I've seen online for UFO Oil are: The ordinary 2%BHA + The Ordinary B oil, and the Inn Beauty Acne Serum wich is 1.5 BHA. But then again theres that BHA suspended in oil from the ordinary line. Might try that next. I'm still happy with my Peach slices BHA, if this doesn't work frankly. :)

You’ve influenced me to try that vitamin C! I like sea buckthorn and 3-0 ethyl ascorbic acid. I’ve been trying to use Beauty of Joseon’s vitamin C but I find it emphasizes my large pores. The finish of it looks nice on the backs of my hands so I’m finishing up the tube that way. 😅

I’ve only tried a handful of products from Mary&May and they are *not* a fragrance free line. Their eye cream is heavily fragranced and irritated the F out of my eyes! I’ve been wanting to try that moisturizer tho and it’s good to know it’s fragrance free.

Please look into retinaldehyde. It’s considered more gentle than retinol yet is only one conversion from retinoic acid (tretinoin) vs two with retinol. It’s also antibacterial so better for acne prone skin. I started with Beauty of Joseon’s Revive Eye Serum (0.02% retinal as part of the listed 2% liposome) and still use it around my eyes and mouth, and all over on the super sensitive skin days during my period. Otherwise, I’ve been using Maelove’s Moonlight (0.1% retinal) 2-3 times a week. P.S. Penn Smith has a great video explaining retinoids.

Tret is NOT for everyone just like you said plus the cream version can continuously break some people out because of the ingredient Isopropyl Myristate - it may be a personal acne trigger for you.

Tretinoin never worked for me either!! I literally couldn’t tolerate it. I used it exactly how everyone suggests and I could never get my skin to tolerate it. 😢I feel you

Same! I tried the sandwich method, letting my face fully dry, using in small areas... literally nothing and my skin paid for it all last year

So many! I want to do a more collective video, but off the top of my head: - Heroine Make mascara (and the remover) - Attenir cleansing oil for sure - &nail nail bed oil - Ishizawa-Lab Keana Rice Mask - I'm From Rice Toner and Mugwort Essence - Rom&nd, Peripera lip products!

Hi Kristia, thank you for reviewing. I have questions about the Attenir oil, I hope you can help me out because I don't find a lot of videos about it. I just got it, brand new and after leaving it on the counter for a day, it separates into two layers of clear and hazzi, when I shake it, it goes back to normal. But will separate again after sitting still overnight. Idk if this is normal or is it a fake product. Has your oil ever done this? Thank you.

Hm mine never did that. My guess is it's either gone bad on the shelf before you purchased or it might be fake depending where you bought it. It could also be your climate. I'm not entirely sure though

You are too young for Tretnoin. You need to wait for about 10 to 15 years, by then you will surely need it.
@ByKristinaStudio

I probably will need it then. But I use it for preventative measures since I'm now 31. I'd much rather use it to maintain healthy skin than fight aging - it's much easier that way for me and I also use it to help with acne! 🙂
