Depression manifests in different ways: For some it's withdrawal, some excessive talking, excessive shopping, excessive eating, excessive eating etc. Just pay attention to your body and actions, and open up to the right people. In life I think it is the fear of someone taking advantage of you that brings anxiety and depression. We all need someone we can trust in our lives in one way or the other and we have to give the allowance for people to be human as we are human. Learn to let go, love yourself and forgive yourself for mistakes of your past and protect your heart for your future.

Depression is like thief in the night. One never knows when it can creep up to steal one’s joy. Thank God Toyin has support to get her through it. Mental health is not discriminatory, it can happen to anyone. Chude is also a great listener and interviewer. Love this. The best part is when Toyin said “I don’t need pity party”. Strong support network helps a lot.
@nedgetravels8182 жыл бұрын
Well, having a pity party is relative. I am a mental health support worker. Sometimes you use the strong support network method, hmmm, it breaks them the more cos they can't go at your pace. It worsens it in some cases. The pity method helps as well, you have to study the client, and keep cognisance with which best suits their personality. Above all, Empathy heals depression. And you trying to bring one out of depression can get drowned. Above all.. constant positive affirmations heals a depressed person. There is a very thin line between depression and being happy. It usually starts with lack of self satisfaction, lack of love and Empathy from people around you, fear of the known and unknown!!!! Practicing gratitude, helps as well, but that's during the healing process. It is tough. May God help us all in this journey of humanity.

I am happy she had the right people around her. It's okay to change your friends, they might not be helpful to you. Alicia Keys also mentioned how she had to reorganise her life and it meant people around her had to change. May afflictions never arise again for Toyin.

I can't afford professional counselor, i have no person to talk to. I speak to Jesus each moment the sorrow becomes intense. I find solace in preaching God's Word and counselling others in pain. The success in counselling brings joy. Sometimes, i need a counselor myself and i ask "WHO COUNSELS THE COUNSELOR? THE HOLYSPIRIT HAS BEEN MY STRENGTH. I admit i really need professional help.

More so, some of these symptoms can begin to surface even though you continue to have regular periods. Pls research online and you will find a lot of resources and information that will also help alongside the help you already have in place. Much luv xxx
