It's the Scots mentality they get really embarrassingly earnest about everything, and take credit just for being in the vicinity of right about something. They're also crazy for rules - if there's a don't walk on the grass sign (for instance) a Scot will always come along and try to whip up a small mob against the rule breaker. This is how people spoke about Ngannou after his Fury fight. Bakole has not fought any body of noticable credit as yet. If he beats Xhang then beats Joseph Parker, then we can start getting excited. Fight Dillian, fight Joyce - he needs to do something to prove exactly what level he is on. This hype is currently unjustified.
