i definitely think of that target chord as a B Maj that oscillates with the electric guitar between a Maj7 and a dominant 7. that said, the only melody note that doesn't "fit" is that G, which I think i just hear it as a flat 6 in the melody - the thing is, the flat 6 would suggest that the chord will land on a B minor instead of major, but it doesn't. so i guess i don't know. i think it was just one of those things that sounded good and i didn't think about it too much while writing it.

@ToddBradley , @CommanderCrisp Yes he plays the the tambourine and it shows it several times but not quite the pattern that I hear playing at the beginning of the song. There are at least 3 layers of purcussion jingles and not all are playing the same pattern. What I don't see Jack playing the the initial jingle sound that starts at 0:03 sounds more like sleigh bells.

yes, i lived at my folks house, which they're putting up for lease and getting ready to sell. so i've gotta get me out of there. i'm trying to find a place that's removed and out in the woods somewhere, where i can make noise. but it's harder than it sounds to find such a place. if anyone knows of anything in Marin County CA, let me know.

everyone speaks about radiohead... of course you can see a lot of influence, but i think that with time and throughout all the different videosongs you can see how there is a unique style to the music (and video, which is a great part of the song)... as well, is nice to see how audiovisual production and postproduction has improved as time has passed since the first videosong... very nice song, that reverb on the vocals take you to another place...

I am not sure how he's doing it but if you film yourself playing the same drum line 3 times with a slightly different camera angle each time, you end up with three pieces of footage where the actions are more-or-less in sync with each other. Then you can rapidly cut from one shot to another, giving you a similar effect.

What you might be hearing are metal brushes on a his cymbal. He shows the first use of the brushes at 0:06, the first use of a tambourine at 0:30 and the first use of sleigh bells and tambourine at 1:23. The brushes tend to sound metallic like bells or a tambourine would, so I can understand how you would have heard that. ;-) Hope that was helpful. =P

what these verses remind me of, I cant forget my health(anorexia or other disorders about body dysmorphia) I cant be by myself(anxiety) I cant be all alone(anxiety) I cant be out of touch(afraid of loosing friends, ect.)
