I have just watched several versions of this aria, and this soprano is the one who made who made it sound the most effortless and lilting, so that the listener is enjoying the lyrics instead of straining along with the soloist. Yes! And it adds to her diction coming out clearly, which is a critical aspect of delivery aesthetic. Whitney Houston aways made sure her diction was on point so that people could understand the words to her songs. So many times you hear opera sung in English, but you cannot understand the words.
