This quality singing that is portrayed here is something that will stand the test of time and maybe into eternity. I think the word she paused to look for , was "worship". "A quiet conviction"

I was very blessed to be able to meet and sing for Dame Baillie when I was 17, just a few years before her death. (Contrary to the notes on this video, my understanding is that she passed on 24 September 1983.) She was visiting a friend in Melbourne, Florida, where I grew up, and she and her friend attended a musical gathering that featured my voice teacher - also in her 80's - as the speaker. My teacher was Roberta Peters' vocal coach when she was a teenager, and her late husband, Erich Hertzmann, was a renowned German-American musicologist; she assisted him in his work locating original manuscripts that were hidden during WWII. I sang "Deh vieni non tardar" from Le Nozze di Figaro and possibly "Rejoice" or "Come Unto Him" from the Messiah. (Thank heavens my voice teacher didn't have me sing this aria! But she knew better even if I didn't.) Other than the Mozart, it's difficult to recall exactly what else I sang, but 44 years later, I will never forget what a lovely and gracious woman Dame Baillie was. I had no idea at the time who she was or how magnificent a voice she had, but I still felt that day as though I'd been in the presence of greatness. I treasure it as one of the highlights of my life.

Her time and the way people were are indeed long gone. But the Redeemer she sings of still exists and His name is Jesus Christ. He is alive for evermore. And all who put their faith in Him shall be saved. That is what the Holy Bible says. Bless God for beautifully composed music that shows us who God is and bless God for singers who use their talent to glorify the Son of God who died and rose again.

@@iandaniel5529 I grew up in the Roman Catholic church which traces its origin to St. Peter who was instructed by "Jesus Christ" to build his church. It turned out to be the largest criminal organization the world has ever known. In France alone, the Christian clergy sexually abused 219,000 children. In the USA, it's in the millions. These horrible crimes were committed by creatures supposedly made in God's image and doing his work on earth. Needless to say, I don't believe in any of that cr@p anymore, but I do admire the beautiful singing of Ms. Baillie.

Dame Isobel must have been in her early 80’s when this was filmed, and the voice was as good as 50 years earlier. We often hear people referred to as “national treasures”, she was surely one. To quote a phrase, Ad fab.
